Correction: the carbs are not in addition to the sugar. It's 48g of carbs total, 45g of which is sugar. So only 3 additional gramms of carbs there.

@@xxviciousbeautyxx You know that the FBI was responsible for MLK’s assassination right? Or that a corporation called Monsanto (who is now bought and owned by Bayer a pharmaceutical company) owns majority of first world food supply and has been known to sterilize seeds around the world so that people especially farmers can’t grow plants on our own for sustainability thus forcing global populations to rely on shopping at grocery stores in order to feed ourselves. You also know that the American Heart Association recommends that men are supposed to consume no more than 9 grams of sugar (6 grams for women) a day yet the FDA recommends 50 grams of sugar a day. Who do you think the American government controls and gives the final say so for the rest of Americans to follow? Yes all this information is public accessible information but I bet your ass that you and majority of people didn’t know any of this information cause we are not out here reading every single piece of information that comes our way let alone are we thinking about searching for it. You should do Dunkin Donuts next. Tell me why their matcha latte already comes with added sugar with no sweetener. Their small is 22g of sugar, medium 33g and their large is 44g. Mind you I'm talking about a matcha drink, which is technically supposed to be healthy for you. I've been slowly giving up sugar more and more each week. And I've really been noticing the benefits it has done to my overall health and feeling. I was just recently drinking matcha not long ago while eating unhealthy sugary snacks. But now I'm basically going the AIP route to fix some things up with my gut health.

I’ve got to admit that a pistachio latte sounds really good and I do want to try it, but I find that latte drinks sweetened with syrup have a cloying taste to them and even if they’re made with just sugar I find that they make me thirsty. The wonderful thing about Starbucks, however, is that they will take requests so if I ever am tempted to try one of their new drinks I always ask them if they can make it less sweet at which point they usually tell me how many pumps of sweetener they put into it and I can go from there. For example, if they typically use four pumps, I can request two or one or half. I ❤️ Starbucks. This is a chain that gives you lots of options. All you have to do is ask.

Many go there every day so they can be called out by name proud to be getting the usual, many are overweight but the addiction to the white death is unbreakable. Thanks for sharing.

There’s people who get Starbucks every single day and don’t care about how much sugar they consume

If you really want Starbucks, just ask for half the sweetener or even how many pumps you want. You can change the way you taste sweets by just lessening your sugar over time. Also, you have to take into consideration that milk has 12g of natural sugar, which is different from added sugar. Sugar in milk is not that bad for you.

Exactly. When I go to Dunkin too, I either leave out the extras or take only 1 pump of whatever they offer with the drink.

You could also just ask for it without sugar and add your own

But I noticed it has 12g of protein so... it's a health drink to me. 🤷‍♀️

I get the cold brew with a splash of oat milk, very very low calorie and only couple grams of sugar, but I don’t mind my coffee bitter

This is why through out my diet. I drink water and black coffee. If I must buy a coffee, must be Americano. No it doesn't taste good. It is just coffee and ice a water.

I use to get a mocha ☕️ with whipped cream all the time at work, until I did some research on just how bad whipped cream is for you and the way it’s made. Thankfully 😅 I am now retired and not getting this anymore! Believe me folks, there’s a ton of calories and sugar in these drinks! Moderation is key!

”In addition to the sugar it also has 48 grams of carbs”. No. Sugar is carbs. OUT OF the 48 grams of carbs, 45 grams are sugar. So it’s 45 grams of sugar and 3(!) grams of other carbs. That’s why the “sugars” line is indented in the list.

An easy way to cut down on the sugar is by substituting for non dairy options. Remember that regular milk has a lot of sugar and that adds to the total.

Type 2 diabetic worked my way back to pre diabetic w hard work ( major sweet tooth) all the sugar free stuff I used w sugar alcohols upsets my stomach terribly. There’s just no winning. Sugar should be classified a drug! Why are all the most tasty pleasurable things the worst for you?

I never buy coffee out at any establishment. I brew mine at home using only premium organic coffee , triple filtered water and unbleached coffee filters. Just add a touch of grass milk. The best! Buying coffee out will put a dent in your wallet and have an extreme negative impact on your health. Not for me.
