Reminds me of my journey in a small town in northern France. People stared at me all the time because there was rarely any Asian there. A small kid (2 or 3 years old) even asked me to hug him. But the best part was when I asked some lady for help to tour around she was super enthusiastic which I didn't experience at all in Paris. Eurail Pass is the best. I could get off the train any time I feel like it.

The chinese lines are actually very moving and sublime. It's quite a pity the English subtitles didn't represent it accurately. Listening to the old man quoting the 2,500 years old text, 樹欲靜而風不止, I am truthfully touched. Glad to see traditional literature lives on at the other side of the strait.

Looking at the chinese subtitles, he says "劳拉克劳馥", i.e. Lara Croft, so I think the English spoken words are just a mistake and they meant "Lara Croft".

No, they definitely put 'Lily Croft' in there on Purpose. Yes it's a reference to Lara Croft, but the 'Lily' is a reference to the many Chinese girls who give themselves the English name 'Lily'. A lot of 'Lilys' tend to look like the chick in the video as well : )
