Hope you guys like our new short, it took us one week to make it from start to finish. We went to the extra effort to also make sure there were no other people in these scenes. If you have ever been to Shanghai you'll know, that's no easy task!

how did you manage to do that?!? i know it must have been early mornings during chinese new year when the city is KINDA empty, but in a city with nearly 25 MILLION people, there were still lots in there. heck, i was there, i know it. this video was amazing, a really piece of art. i know it is a sketch in a comedy channel, but the quality of this work is really impressive. HATS OFF!

During the lunar new year. everyone is going back to their own hometown. Therefore, those big cities will actually"empty". And it is pretty simple to film a street without anyone on the very morning perhaps 5 or 6am. Besides, it is the Jun 1 on the lunar calendar, it is like the Christmas eve night to the westerns. no one wants to go out on that day, everyone sticks with their own family.

most of my 25 yrs in shanghai I never get off during chinese new year holiday, i prefer stay in the city, follow the flew and enjoy the other face of the city, calm and quite....later, in the last decade no more as before. Love this surreal video and I do hope taht people never being in china could understand! Thanks guys

i was in hubei while the chinese new year... haha i've always seen Shanghai as full of people, but this apocalyptic atmosphere looks great and peaceful and kinda scary

I was there two weeks ago. It's unbelievable that it even can look like that. It's so vibrant, so crowded all the time. But it seems there is one time in the year you can really get some silent moments in this huge city. Well done guys, amazing cinematography and great story. Love it. Especially the German Craft Beer scene 😁

This is such an accurate all artistic description of life in Shanghai during Chinese New Year. You can’t buy food or even water all the shops are closed, it’s hell. You guys just keep stepping it up the cinematography is amazing I love it. Well done, lots of love from your groupie and number 1 fan ❤️

Those shots of empty Shanghai are eerily beautiful. Kinda makes me want to experience that. Being in this huge sprawling metropolis that's almost devoid of people.

This is so accurate. My first Chinese new year was just as bad! the following year I bought a refrigerator just so I could stock up food. I felt like a chipmunk stocking up for winter. The cinematography in this video was amazing, the short action scene was more realistic than many of the movies I've watched. keep it up.
