What do you think of Starfield's review scores? Are you happy or disappointed??

IGN Japan gave it a 10 , Brazil IGN 9.5 . Best thing to do is try it yourself 😊

The scores are good in my opinion. I think anything over an 80 is great, personally. Also i don't take IGN very seriously. Their '7/10' reviews are a meme now.

This game is a slow burn. It's too early to properly review it.

it hasn't blown my socks off and so far its not more enjoyable than some of the space games that have been out for half a decade. The main story feels like I am locked in and the side missions, so far, feel tedious and unnecessarily spaced out, running from one side of the city to the other to click a button. the interface is clunky, the weapons and suits are confusing on what their damage and resistances are, I can't figure out what is considered an upgrade. I got a legendary suit but it wasn't much better than my starter suit. the ground missions are too spaced out and coupled with a character who can't run more than a few minutes, makes walking from point to point a painful trot. Joining constellation was lackluster, I didn't feel like I joined an organization, like when you play Mass Effect and become a spectre, you felt like you were in a unique group and the game world treated you differently from that moment forward. Getting around the city is slow and confusing, POI's are sometimes 1 level up or down and you have to backtrack to go up some stairs you didn't notice on your initial path in, overlooking cause you were following the blue diamond thinking the game would path you where you need to be. the trailers made it seem like the city was a vibrant populace of active character with life that you are a part of but I seen better atmosphere in a Hitman game. As I pass NPC's some of them have downright crazy expressions on their faces that are creepily unsettling. The robot, and the human companions get into my way so often I just want to leave them in the ship. You can seemingly steel EVERYTHING which sounds like a good option but then that means you have to run around and click on EVERYTHING for fear of missing out. The AI enemy is a complete miss, they are poorly programmed and clunky as they move around. I have only about 6 hours of play time so I am hoping I can find something that makes it stand out, cause so far, I would really only give it a B and I've already sent out messages to my friends and coworkers just to get it on their game pass and don't spend money until more of the games quality is revealed.

On a firm 1 to 10 scale I can hands down say Starfield is triangle. Firmly.

Every Bethesda release has people expecting a full on life replacement, comes out and nothing can live up to that expectation, so "It's pretty Alright " 👍

as in "very mixed" you mean mostly positive for the majority of reviews? i've only seen like 4 outlets rate it below an 8

It’s crazy to me how if IGN and Gamespot call a game “Good” (7/10), it sways the entire perception of reviews, making people think the game has failed. An aggregate of 50 reviews puts this game at an 88, which is good enough for the 4th highest AAA score of the year, in one of the greatest years ever for gaming.

If I based my gaming preferences on critic's, I would have avoided so many wonderful titles. My thoughts are: gaming media hasn't influenced my choice in game since the 1990's. Star Field can get a 1/10 or a 12/10, and it doesn't matter. What matters is how engaged I am in the first 20-40 hours. Its the only thing in gaming that does matter. The rest is noise

I think its very fair to say if it was a PS exclusive it would be a whole 1 point higher across the board. Honestly I'm good with a 8.5/10 Ps. I want every game to be 10. N btw I thought fallout 4 was great and like 76 so what do I know 😅

DON'T trust game critic reviews, they are awful, user reviews are way better and even then, if you enjoy the game then its good in your books, it LITERALLY doesnt matter what others think.

Well, the cosmic being has finally restored time to its normal flow and I have my copy of starfield loaded and ready for tomorrow. The constellation edition is awesome, the watch is beyond cool and the box it comes in is very well made.

The things that are causing low scores for some don’t bother me. So it’s a win.

87/100 on Metacritic and 94% on OpenCritic, so eith that being said how again are the reviews "mixed" when those are "critically acclaimed" scores???

Lol yeah Starfield scores are mixed even though it is averaging a 88 score with only Sony paid channels like IGN and Gamespot giving it low scores.

I have a feeling the 7/10 scores (IGN, Gamespot) are such bullshit.

First off, some of these reviewers were biased going in. ING and PC mag have hated Bethesda for years. Second, reviews don't matter that much. A lot of people complained about Fallout 4 but to this day in my opinion was the greatest game ever made. It's all about what you want from a game. I hated The Witcher but it is considered a great game. In matters of taste there is no dispute. Decide for yourself!

7/10 is a very generous score for Starfield. It's a good game, but not a masterpiece like RDR2 and Elden Ring.

Who cares about what reviewers think? Watch the gameplay for yourself and decide if its for you. That's how i have always done it. So many reviewers have the opposite opinion of what i think is "good".

Bethesda did a great job with Starfield. It's not Zelda or Red Dead R2 quality level, but it's pretty good.

the low scores seem like an outlier but I usually agree with ign and gamespot so well see.

Do people still watch and read mainstream Journalist reviews. It’s ridiculous to trust any mainstream publication whether it’s for games or movies.

The game is too big to give a proper review. People were saying Fallout NV was a failure back in 2010. It needs time to settle. FYI, same IGN guy gave Halo 5 a 9/10, Prey a 5/10 and Alien Isolation a 4/10. dont trust big reviewers, they are paid off

You people put way too much emphasis on meta and open critic. Those websites are aids. Watch stuff on youtube and see for yourself. Too many sheep.

No, it’s not a masterpiece. It’s mediocre for game pass but it’s definitely not a masterpiece maybe in their own category but it looks Hella boring after watching four hours of a lifestream, and I only watched that long because it was entertaining how the physics were weird and the writing is terrible. And I had nothing to do on a 4 Hour Road trip. But now that I got my fix on how boring this game is, I will never buy not for PC until they fix those physics or something. I don’t know add dismemberment maybe? And I’m not depending on mods because mods add more bugs to the game. I think I will skip this title.

Tbf I think a lot of people were mislead as to what the game actually was. Even with that being the case I think the game is still going to be an amazing game, it’s just going lack some of the “magic” people were expecting the game to have.
