The way i did this was the following: I first found the square root of 9 and 64; 9=3 and 64=8. First i found the square root of "x" so i just subtracted the results that i got (8-3), which gave me 5 Since the oppositw of a square root is a number squared i just squared 5 to get the value of "x". So 5×5=25, that means 25 is the value of x X=25

Bro I’m a 6th grader who don’t even know half of the math here. And at home it took me 2 FREAKING SECONDS TO MASTER SQUARE ROOT! so a number multiplied by the same number is the square root. So 3 is the square root of 9 because 3x3 is 9 and for 25 5x5 is 25. Same with 64 8x8 is 64! BRO! IM TO SMART FOR THE 6TH GRADE!

You could easily put it to the left side which make it 8-3=5 then power both sides it will be x=25

We can also do 8-3 answer is 5 then we remove square of x and 25 is our answer

I don't know what SAT is but I've watched a million shorts on that and if the shorts are true this if the easiest exam I've ever heard of

didn't present the last step clearly for those that aren't great at math, you should have separated the last couple steps to show it more clearly. sqrt(x) + 3 = 8 *subtract 3 from both sides* sqrt(x) = 5 *square both sides* x = 25 much more clear for your target audience. you breezed through the most important part, and some could easily fall for the trap answer of x = 5

You finding a square root, need to account for positive and negative situations. Although, on a multiple choice question, C is your best bet
