I'm truly surprised that no one has made a connection or theorized about Abeloth. Everyone calling Qumir "Darth Teeth" because of the helmet, but no one has came out with any theories about that and the resemblance of his helmet and her known appearance. I’m inclined to think it’s one of the simpler theories. Either he was a padawan with Sol but his story was hushed up so Osha never heard of him, or he used the dark side and or force mask to extend his life and maintain his appearance.

If Qimir is close to 40 (like Manny Jacinto) and left Jedi Order 25 years ago, then he left before Osha joined and 25 years is majority of his life, so it's kinda long time ago.

When Osha first wakes up at Qimir's cave, the first thing she does is look at her flank where the wound was, so Qimir obviously can Force heal. I would think that is essentially the same power as extending life, and maintaining youth.

I love the fact that this show has us guessing on the details throughout the season. The questions keep me coming back each week.

Maybe Qiimir wanted a baby with one of the twins to transfer his essence.

Darth Tenebrous and Plaguesus when to a world with a Cortosis mine. I think the site OSHA and Qimir are at that location where Plagues kills Tenebrous in a mining accident.

It just occurred to me...all this focus on age seems really futile. I mean, all these people are different species from different planets and solar systems. It seems like a microscopicly small chance that they would age at the same pace. This goes all the way back to Episode 1 with Anakin and Padema.

I agree with the statement about there being so many Jedi that Osha wouldn't know them all. In the High Republic, there were a whole lot of temples. But the other theories are interesting too. And I'm still pretty skeptical about everything Qimir has told Osha anyway.

He could also be lying about how old he is, just to gain the trust of Osha in a way to turn her to the dark side.

Hey that helmet link was my theory! I reckon we’re getting a flashback episode, told by Sol to Mae, and just as we pull out of the flashback near the end of the episode, it will go to Mae’s/Osha’s “joint POV” from behind the mask.

I think it’s simply him using the Dark Side to prologue with youth. Maybe the waters.

When he's getting in the water, stripping away his dark clothes, he's being transparent and vulnerable to Osha. Mae has never known her master's face and he's trying to do it "right" this time. He was carrying his white clothes. He set them down offscreen. We'll find out what happened to the coven. Koril probably controlled both sides of the battle so the Jedi look bad. The helmet will show Osha the truth and Sol will tell Mae his truth. Sol is not weak-minded so maybe he knows the truth and went along with [whatever Koril did] to get Osha out. Vernestra doesn't know the whole truth but knows it's someone else. Sol's biggest secret will [probably] die with him without telling her. The other three Jedi think they did something bad. Sol knew it was Mae even before they left for the ship. There's one thing that will change everything for me. If the witches are revealed to survive in the end, there will be speculation for years about whether they ever died or if Koril brought them back. Koril might be the big boss-ness and a tie to the Sith returning. If it were me, I'd end the series with Osha and Mae testifying, Mae earning her redemption with Qimir (Darth Guns) expressing how she learned from her weakness, how to kill the dream. They plant the seed of doubt that grows dogma within the Jedi Order beyond recovery and have them fade into obscurity without anyone else knowing about Qimir. That's my perspective and theories. Isn't it also possible that when Qimir says _"It was a long, long time ago"_ he just means that so many traumatic things have happened to him since then, that it _feels_ like a long time ago? As for Osha not having heard of him, well she didnt even graduate and become a full Jedi Do we think she knows the names of all the Jedi who have come and gone before? Including those who left the order, or were killed "mysteriously" For that matter do we even know his true name? Im in my 50's and when my Nieces ask me about things from when i was their age (18-23) i will say _"that was several life-time's ago" That doesn't mean i have used Force Transfer to take new bodies It just _feels_ like a long time ago

Essence transfer is a good guess and Leslye loves the Old Republic stuff.

I think the "i was a jedi a lomg time ago thing" is a reference to the Sith Order being formed by fallen Jedi. He says it to answer a question about "why do you act so similar to the Jedi" i dont think osha knows much about the sith, if she even knows anything abt them at all

Qimir seemed to be really cool here. Leg Osha watch him and take his lightsaber, showing no signs of concern or fear. Then he talked to her like Palpatine talked to Anakin zo seduce her. But again it's just a bite from the whole cake and we still don't know what to expect. Jedi fighting each other? Why? What does Vernestra know, how is she involved in it? What is the connection between Qimir and the witches? Will it be worth watching? I still wait for the rewiews for the last episode to decide.

How do we know that Qimir is just a long lived species? Qimir has a prior history to Sol.

Also think Qimir was Sol’s Padawan and he was there on Brendok and got mauled by Kelnacca like Torbin. They left him for dead. Qimirs master may have been aiding the witches in creating life, and was living nearby. Thats why the girls were not allowed to wander off but one of them secretly went to some place. The Jedi’s secret will come into light because Qimir forced their hand by him sending Osha to kill the four who have left him for dead. Vernestra’s silly Jedi companion is going to rat them out to powefull senate member Ravencourt causing the senate to start controlling the Jedi order politically. David Harewood is probably playing Ravencourt. I dont think tenebrous or plagueis will be in this show, not in this season at least. I prefer to be wrong about this though 😁

The Acolyte series is quite different from what I anticipated. It strikes a balance that I didn't expect. While I don't dislike it, I was hoping for a darker tone and a narrative more focused on the perspective of the dark side.

In the Aurebesh alphabet, the letter "v" is called "vev", and it looks like our letter "y". Qimir's scar is shaped like a "y". Did Vernestra carve her intitial into Qimir's back with her whip?

We know he’s an alchemist. But I do think the fountain of youth is interesting. I do maintain its transfer, though.

I think Qimir has only had one body but that he's Venestra's age. Probably that's her whip scar, and they were padawans and young Jedi together before he was cast out or fled after doing something bad and dueling with Venestra. She seems the most secretive overall and it would make sense based on her screen time that she's connected further in the story than what we've seen so far. And they introduced her whip the same episode they introduced his scar....I don't think there's an old connection between Qimir and Sol. Just the shopkeeper scene where he was faking, and then perhaps something brief from Brendock 16 years ago. But I don't think he and Sol were Padawans together. I think he and Venestra were like 90 years ago....I think he's older than Sol just using the dark side to remain younger looking.

I got the idea for Luke creating the Universe from reading Cordwainer Smith at the library. Cordwainer’s Instrumentality had healed time and were down to causing history’s matings to occur, so that all who were ever born and reproduce would exist, despite the forces of history being no more. I thought, if the Instrumentality could be true, then maybe sentience and time-travel would loop the legends.

What if Qimir was simply kept in stasis for a long time, like Dagan Gera? Probably not, but just a thought.

If they retconned Darth Plagueis in the finale episode to be just a Human Black man, I could see Disney doing something like that just to antagonize most the fans. Your theories and speculation are sound here, but I really don't think the Storygroup put that much thought into it, also they seem to actively look at what us fans work out and deduce from the writing, and it's like they can see that's what we will naturally think will happen, going off of the *Lore* and then the storygroup just deliberately SUBVERT that and do entirely the opposite, or something nowhere near as interesting, or well thought out; like as if to spite us. This is why I don't believe they will even do any of this because these writers, they will see that's the direction us fans would all go in and naturally expect them to do. Don't forget when Kennedy said, we have no BOOKS, NO COMICS, NO SOURCE MATERIAL. Nothing but talented writers, looking for what the NEXT ITERATION WILL BE." That's what Kathy Kennedy did say once and it shows, they're really not looking to honor the actual lore of all those classic stories George sold to Disney. They will rip small, little things off, their way of just throwing us fans a bone. Just read the Collider interview, it shows us everything about Leslie and her team of writers, how they view the lore. They seek to "challenge" and re-write, re-contextualize these Legends/EU classic starwars tales we've all grew up with. This is why so many fans are just not happy with "Disney Starwars" of late. I hope they don't but I can honestly see that David Harwood being just straight out cast as Darth Plagueis. NOT as some voice for a true and faithful "Thanos" style, CGI creation of the character. But just have Harwood appear as a retconned version of Plagueis both in his age and race from originally being a "Munn". They would do this just to annoy Fans, cause they know that would cause alot of controversy.

Given the history of clues in the names of characters, Qimir sounds a bit like Chimera. A hybrid, or also a wild, foolish vain dream. Not sure what clue that really gives and it's probably not even a thing.

If I'm not mistaken then it was said that Obi Wan aged so drastically between episodes 3 and 4 because the twin sons were bothering him, then it could be Qimir. The fact that this planet on which he depends simply ensures that he “ages better” through his environment. My other theory is that it had something to do with his lightsaber. Since Kylo Ren's theme hinted that he could be something like a Knight of Ren. Through the Rise of Kylo Ren comics, we know that the leader's lightsaber, the lightsaber that later becomes Kylo Ren's shared lightsaber, has a special meaning. It has its own name, the Ren, and the troupe's philosophy revolves around it. However, the theory is somewhat hindered by the fact that the Ren in the comics is a single blade and cannot be split into two parts. (Knowing the series, I would also trust her to rewrite it)

Light sabers cant cut through the cortosis helmet but smilo ren was using a plasma torch in a scene when he was fixing the helmet ....hm.

Would be nice if they would give more detail it seems likr every episode is more questions and are they gunna answer those questions before the end bc their stacking up. I would like to see a show that doesnt have an agenda behind it but more of a continuing of what george did or at least close. They have dave and hes the closest to it. I would like more detail about the sith and more answers not more questions. If that's the case, I wonder if he intends on taking Mae or Osha as his next host. Seems to contradict the interest of having an actual disciple since I don't think he needs to switch bodies right now (he's basically Ben Swolo at the moment!). Well, I might be overthinking. Qimir kinda feels more like he's been possessed by an Exar Kun type sith spirt. Perhaps the real Qimir's spirit is trapped out of his body the way Kun did to Luke.

Unless I missed it I don’t think osha ever heard the name “Qimir” spoken so it’s weird for her to say she never heard of him. Also she was only one of MANY Jedi and can’t possibly know everyone especially since she was so young and only in the order a short time. Also even if she knew his name was “Qimir” not even the audience in a meta whelm knows if that’s his real name or just his bumbling drunk fool act.

Best star wars since original trilogy. Qimir makes it so good. Sure, some characters are not as good, but it is a tv show, not a however many 100's of millions movie. I do love Rogue One, too, though. So maybe i re-grade once show is over. But i only ever rewatched over and over again the original & now acolyte episode 5. Definitely got over my rage at a certain death in episode 1.

So maybe Koril is the one who helped them stay young. I can see witches perfecting this and Sith like Tenebrous or Plagueis would have been interested in this. I think it would be cool if that was the case and the reason they got further than any other Sith causing the force to react with Anakin.
