Statistical Proof that Jarrett Culver will be a BUST (Scouting Report)

Jarrett Culver is unanimously considered one of the top prospects in the 2019 NBA Draft... but should he be? The Texas Tech product has many flaws in his game and is not worthy of a top 10 selection. Culver also has extreme bust potential as his numbers and traits display.

Fair Analysis but seriously... He’s a guy that works hard, competitive, improved in his second year and I believe you have him underrated as a passer. Your right on his athleticism however you don’t have to be super athletic to be a great player. As long as he works to get bigger and better, I believe he can turn into one hell of a player. I don’t believe in saying this guy or that guy is GOING TO BE a superstar, however I do think he can turn into an exceptional player. As you said, an improved jump shot is needed but really what rookie comes in with a superb jump shot and show if off there first year in the NBA. A lot of these guys struggle with there jumper right away. Consistently wise. Jimmy Butler couldn’t shoot either or doing any one thing great. Just saying....

BIG DA I am also a wolves fan! Obviously not everyone turns into a jimmy Butler but jimmy also worked his tail off too get where he’s at. Kahwi did the same thing. That’s all I’m saying. If he works hard enough, he can drastically improve... He has the size. PG13 was the 10th overall pick and a lot of people didn’t know much about him or thought that high of him because he too was not great at anything. These players come up unexpectedly. I’m just saying he has that type of ability if he puts the work in. But unfortunately he could also be a Glenn Robinson lll.........😐

There is one more thing I'd like to say to Respect the Point, here's my point, it seems to me that there is too much emphasis on potential, ceiling, athleticism, and talent in general in the NBA. The Timberwolves are NOT lacking in talent and athleticism. Karl Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins have been projected at times as possessing 'elite' talent and frankly Josh Okogie, is a player who has out of this world athleticism! Despite this elite talent though, we were still unable to make the playoffs this past season. Culver needs to be judged on one thing and one thing only, does his presence on the court and off the court make our team better. If so, Respect the Point, your point respectfully is moot.

@@colehasbigballs9006 nah bro guys like josh Jackson, Kris Dunn, stanly Johnson and yes Jarret culver got too much time being developed over other more NBA ready guys, why waste time developing a deep bench player or role player that won't even be on your team by the time he's hit that ceiling that's dumb. Realistically it just shows you what you should be looking out for in college prospect because again this happens allot with these guys, if they look raw at the Colledge level and if there are questions about there game at the Colledge level these will only become more apparent at the NBA level.

I gave you a like since all the salty people were in denial. You made great points and the only thing people are disputing you on is his hard work ethic in the comments. Everybody works hard at that level lol. Is there the occasional raw athletic freak that chugs a beer after practice or hits the strip club after games? Sure. But most of these players work hard. Plus the NBA is a different sport compared to MLB, NHL, NFL that has 25-53 man rosters. The NBA only has 5 starting positions, which means 150 men can say they start for an NBA team each year and you are bringing in 2 rounds of the draft and have many players that play 15-20 year careers. Work ethic in the NBA isn't gonna go as far as it would on a team that has tons of positions on the field, diamond, ice.

Before I knew anything about Culver he really stood out in a tournament game against Michigan. I was only watching because I’m a Wolverines fan I have only watched 3 College b-ball games knew nothing about Texas Tech or their players. I definitely say he passes the eye test for me being that he was the first player I noticed and thought that guy plays like a pro. My eye has failed before and NBA is tricky to project potential and high ceilings for draft picks. Doesn’t help very few roster spots and 1-3 draft picks per draft. Also quality of competition matters a lot where football seems to be football and talent is hiding around every corner. Basketball will take a chance on a 7’ Eastern European player that is 18 yrs old , career averages and he is top 3 prospect 3.8 points 2.3 rebounds .3 assists 1 block .2 steals
