Fyi you can hear PH dragging his knife around VERY clearly, I've played against a stealth PH before and the sound queue of his weapon is so noticeable from even medium distance.

I think the thought about this addon is to use it when at loops, gets rid off red stain so u can mindgame better at jungle gyms etc.

Umm.. actually tofu, actually uh there’s no point using hex: ruin and trail of torment together because you have to kick a generator

Torment with goblet used correctly is insane if you mind game properly especially on loops you can get some juicy hits with punishment

Next time You should of switched out tinkerer with dark devotion so your terror radius sticks to the survivor and immidieatly doubled back to a gen, and this also works with Surveillance because it will make those gens white every time that afflicted survivor goes near them and thinks it's you. Also switch out hex ruin with nemesis so that you can reactivate dark devotion over and over and not have to worry about chasing one person just to stay stealthy. As for the trails you were only half right about it being to hard monitor 3 gens. The add on is more for chases in mind, and adds a layer of mind tricks you can use on annoying chase sections (edit: please take note that these ideas only work in enclosed maps and high wall chase sections. trying this out on a bigger map could work, but the size would severely hinder my suggestions.)

Well now hold on there, Pardner. At 24:10 you see something real special that may make this add-on not total dog. It can extend the duration of existing undetectability. So it could add a meaty amount of time to something like Tinkerer.

Its kinda hard to try stealth with charatcter that when moves you can hear the huge ass sword dragging sound

The Add on i think is more appropriate for big loops with los blockers, because it hides your red stain you could just M1 instead since the survivors probably expects you to use your projectile ability. Great video!

I think you hit the nail on the head with it being a sub for Insidious. The new add-on strat the devs have been doing is giving killers addons that replicate perks. New Bubba got a thing that is essentially Franklin's. Billy had the sorta Lightborn addon. It's like they are saying "Here is a 5th perk with more hoops. Enjoy!"

I kid you not, Sunday night I decided I was going to record a video based around the Obsidian Goblet. When I was about to start recording Monday afternoon, I saw this video and facepalmed so hard! XD Love your content, man!

I love the experimentation I think it's really healthy for the game

The best use I've seen for obsidian goblet is to remove your red light if the survivor decides to continually loop something you have tormented.

also if you didn't watch otzdarva's video on the best builds for all killers, surveilance prevents trail of torment from showing the aura of the gen to the survivors, meaning they won't know when you're undetectable. it's a fantastic combo

Useful in some loops (like L T walls) cause you can make them think you left abruptly and it conceals your red stain which helps mindgame

I do this build with Tinkerer, Trail, Dark Devotion, and Pop. Same add ons. Dark Devotion makes it god tier. (Before Tinkerer buff, I used Nurses) Though I like to switch Goblet with Lost Memories Book too. The goal is to play as a character who appears by surprise, particularly on injured survivors. No gen grabs, just make long, singular, solid paths from location to location so they can't tell where you are as you patrol.

probably works like insidious where it slowly fades the heartbeat to make it seem like you are moving away rather then just be a big tell the killer went into stealth

You shouldn't focus on using the trails so offensively while traversing the map but more as a defensive tool in order to make a network of paths between 3-4 gens so you can elimate those in your area of stealthy control. I know he does this in the video but for those of you wondering this is what you should try.

the only real way to use that addon is to facecamp lol. because phead is super loud in the survivor pov.

Funny enough I tried this build tonight before even watching this video. By pure luck I got a 3 gen strat going on in the silent hill map and it worked beautifully. I used the trail to make actual trails leading to every gen with no gaps and they would never know I was coming up until it was too late. Probably was pure luck and I know ranks don't really matter but it was up in red and still surprised them all. Might be of use in the future if you revisit this build? Good luck, man. The reason you don't get undetectable while holding the power is because the trail is created behind you so you're not actually standing on a trail while creating trails. Definitely the only "okay-ish" way to use this add-on is to connect a bunch of trails around a 3 or 4 gen area, and then walk along them for surprise attacks.

I think instead of going for gen grabs you get close to the gen and use punishment of the damned and to hit them through walls and shit without them knowing you were close and use a add on to extend the reach of punishment of the damned

I have a more fun build for you Tofu! It's called Invisibilly or Invisioni! Use: Tinkerer Trail of Torment Dark Devotion (Miscellaneous 4th perk, your choice. I use Pop Goes the Weasel) Oni Addons: Akito's Crutch (faster demon rush movement speed) Splintered Hull (survivors drop more blood) Billy Addons: Apex Muffler (survivors can't hear the chainsaw outside of your Terror Radius) Iridescent Brick (after 2 seconds of chainsaw gain undectable) the idea of these builds is just zoom around and 1 shot people while INVISIBLE and it can be super fun.

It seems like the devs create addons not with any specific strategy in mind but just mindlessly with effects that exist. Like Mother's Helpers makes you move faster when a flashlight is shining on you. Technically that DOES have an effect that exists, but there's zero strategy involved with that. Like what if for PH's goblet, the undetectable status effect remains until you place some more trail, if someone walks over any trail, or if you initiate an attack

Tofu try using bubba new light chasis add on it makes u see survivors in an 8 meters radius when reving seems interesting

This is a very situational build, but I would suggest changing out the kicking gen perk that makes you undetectable and swap it for Demo's Surge (especially effective on indoor maps with numerous floors). Surge builds well with Ruin and Surveillance. When the surge procs, it still highlights gens that were damaged by it with Surveillance and the gen degradation works with Ruin. Pyramid Head is already good at limiting time wasted with hooking survivors, but with this build, he could in theory never have to touch a gen either.

With that addon, Pyramid Head can camp like a fucking maniac, and I am so glad to be a PH Main ❤

I tried it with Make your choice, Whisperer, Nurses and Sloppy on indoor map and it kinda works, you leave a trail of torment from the hooked survivor check a gen and come back on your stealthy trail. What i dont like about these kinda builds is it forces you to play in a specific way but i t can be fun sometimes

You could use this addon to cover areas that you double back so that it makes it harder to predict where you are since there would be no red stain to predict where you are but it might not work

If you use trail of judgment at a jungle gym and walk away while leading tracks you can make your heartbeat fade then walk back on the trail of torment you set at that jungle gym. This would work really well on maps like The game and Lery's

a good idea is to make very long trails around the map and walk along those trails AND if you make trails around loops it hides your red stain allowing AMAZING mindgaming potential for free!

I used it with furtive chase and they had no idea on loops, worked like a charm, having a smaller tr makes it stronger, plus tormenting the unhook and using his power to instantly box the ds guy. Also if your goal is gen grab, using oblivious perks are better than the goblet

Only use I can think of would be in loops where the survivor has poor vision of you then I guess you could put a trail of torment around it and maybe surprise them a little bit easier than you normally could

I did this In customs once, I used Tinker, Dark devotion, trail of torment, and nurses calling. With the add ons that make the survivors oblivious. I didn’t realize but majority of the game I was undetectable and it was one of the easiest games I played. Scratch mirror pyramid head

Also, there's a limited amount of trail "parts" you can have out at once at any given point in time, I can't imagine that makes it very easy to spread it out everywhere.

It would probably be a better add on if it gave you undetectable while using the rites of the damned instead of when you are in it. That way you could sneak up on people when they are on generators. It would be really good, but then again it is an iridescent, so it should be good

I think the obsidian goblet would be good with discordance. You can sneak over to the generator then you can you use rites of judgement and hit a survivor.

i feel like stuff like this is best used in a custom match so you can get input from the survivors. obviously that's not the point of this video, but it could be good to know just how much of an effect it has. like were they just making dumb mistakes or was the terror radius manipulation causing them to be confused and disoriented. it's kinda like how dark devotion and that wraith addon kinda cause confusion just because those things aren't used that much and people kinda forget they exist.

This video not only convinced me that this addon is bad, but that this killer is bad

Id recommend Monitor and abuse Nurses calling Tinkerer Trail of torment/dark devotion + reach add ons. Nurses calling makes for some insane snipe plays especially with a low terror radius with monitor and abuse or 0 terror radius because of the other perks

Guys if you don't know he maked a double combo with survilence since it hides the yellow aura of the gen when you kick the gen with pyramid head perk

Executioner is one of my favorite killers and I always figured you would use it when running loops. Drop down a trail; stand on it and the survivor looping you no longer knows where you're at? I've never used it myself, though so honestly idk

Executioner and plague both have ridiculously ineffective pink addons

You can try using it in jungle gyms and high wall loops to hide your red stain but i don't think it's gonna be amazing, especially since PH dragging his sword is pretty loud.

If you're looping it basically gives you ghostfaces stealth

They should just give the trails way longer up time, and remove the torment effect from the trails. So it doesnt become broken. Then it could be a fun meme addon

Overcharge lets them know you’re likely to come back, stealthy or not they can use their op Eyes perk

I think this addon should grant you undetectable when youre using rites of judgment, not when you're stepping in the trenches.

Not too sure about the build, but as for the add on itself, I think the best use would be in a chase where they're looping and lose line of sight, basically makes it so you don't need to moonwalk but overall it's just not a good add on

I think devs are making ultra rare add-ons based on how terrible they are, so then they won't show up on the blood web often and infest the killer's inventory.
