@@lyell63 yeah trapper with one trap is just... Why? It's like Huntress with only one axe. Imagine a trapper killer that can only have one trap down at a time.

Honing stone is mainly good if you find yourself trapping survivors out of chases. And when that happens it's certainly a strong effect, but the thing is you should be aiming to trigger as many traps during chases as possible, to keep them short. In those scenarios, honing stone is useless. Personally, from what amount of Trapper I play, I'd say his purple bag is his best addon. It not only adds more traps to the map, but starts you off with all of them, so you never have to pick them up from a part of the map you're not even interested in.

Honing Stone is fun you can use it with Infectious and knock out(Leatherface perk) but in general you are not gonna get many downs with it 1-2 if you get lucky and they are randoms but for are is fun to play.

Honing stone is better because if you have it and someone gets trapped while you are in a chase : without honing stone, you're forced to do a choice, either the trapped or the chased, but with honing stone, you can focus on the chased survivor, and the trapped survivor will be put in the dying state.

I just run around with the legacy cleaver and prestiged body and head. I think the rest makes him too visible (obviously). But he definitely looks good in full legacy gear.

It was actually a pretty (close but)common hit, because if you put down a pallet your hitbox stayes behind for a bit. Cheryl would habe been fine if she just kept running...but i mean she was fucked regardless because the loop was too long to do another round even if tofu wiffed, so i guess its fair...

all i can suggest is using tar bottle if you're having a hard time catching survivors. you can put them in stupid places they wouldnt be able to see. but i like using trap setters since time is valuable, and the escape attempts take longer. but try placing traps in tall grass, or places were survivors need to take a corner to try and loop efficiently, like the bottom of a T wall. but its all about knowing where your pray is.

I put off playing him or the longest time because I'd thought he'd be hard and unfun. But I find hes actually pretty easy and fun.

It gets harder against top survivors. But sometimes you can big brain a full 4 swf and its really satisfying

Not to be an ass, but you just said he’s too much RNG and the next thing you say is to make survivors downed after 3 failed escape attempts... that’s the definition of RNG. Why not just make an escape attempt longer and with skillchecks like the doctor’s madness? And I feel like yellow bag is too much, brown is alright but starting with an additional trap would call for nerfs for purple bag and the actual yellow bag, having too many traps in the trial would just defeat the idea of having to go to pick them up when you already have enough by default to trap a few tiles

Bags should definitely get added to Trapper's base kit, kinda like how old Windstorm was added to Wraith's. But I feel like if Iri stone was added to his base kit, that would make trapper pretty boring. The optimal play every match would just be to trap strong loops and play like an M1 killer, instead of actually varying your trap placement.

@@squibbles_ I always find it funny that they made old windstorm base kit for wraith and he STILL sucks. And now people are asking for new windstorm to be base.

@@squibbles_ thats exactly How you play him most of the time. I use bag and bottles for darker traps as add ons. I trap the strongest windows/pallets. But why not use traps around loops? Because its not reliable. Survivors Will Go for pallets. If you trap around the pallet loop the survivor can Just drop the pallet and hold W, making that trap useless. Its why trapper is Far more luck based. His Power have a bad thing that many perks have. "It require survivors to make a action for you to use It instead of you Taking Control of It". I used to love playing trapper, It was my favorite killer, but the luck factor most matches makes me Win the game as a M1 killer Far more than survivors getting trapped

@@SerbianKnifeFight the old windstorm Just make him faster but almost makes him stop moving when uncloak, which is Very bad. The windstorm add ons are good now and he really need one at basekit. But BHVR Will never balance killers. Make them all weak is Far better, because survivors Will Bully all of them and find It Fun. We all know gens are the most boring part of the game

@@Insanity-vv9nn I mean, at least based on Otz videos, you can place a trap in such a way that it blocks the pallet and is still usable if the pallet goes down. Unless you mean dead hard through the trap, which is indeed a huge counter to him. But if people are straight up walking through your loop traps that means you placed them wrong.

I knew you could I just wasn't running dead hard in that match I was playing solo on PS4, once he trapped that whole side of the map up it was a battle, I've got videos up I'm not a bad survivor but his trap placement was on point and there wasn't a whole lot of options when running him , once I realized he had iridescent stone and all those traps I was like F*** lol he had the main part we needed the gens on trapped and I kept trying to get at least one of them so we could turn the tide and force him to move traps around but it never happened GG to tofu
