Steelhead Alley Fishing | Drifting Trout Beads for Fresh Steelhead

First steelhead trip of the year was a success. I landed 6 big steelhead and countless other little stocked rainbow trout. I was out fishing what is known as Steelhead Alley- a number of creeks and rivers along the southern shore of Lake Erie (some notable creeks include Walnut Creek, Cattaraugus Creek, Chautauqua Creek, Elk Creek, and Eighteenmile Creek). I started off fishing an egg sack and trout bead combo rig, but ended up landed most of the fish on a Blood Dot Trout bead. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any new content!

Hey buddy, this river and the scenery looks like a lot of the tribs near me (Lake O). I must say when I saw the length of your video I didn't think I would make it through the whole thing. I was wrong - I really appreciation your narration and talking to the audience while your'e fishing and deciding your next moves - super informative. Thats something I need to get better at. I don’t use a specific brand but size 8 or 10 tend to work pretty well for me. I think on this trip I used Eagle Claw size 8, but I’ll use a 10 if the water is a little bit dirtier and I can’t get away with it.

thought fishing with beads in PA was illegal cause you're hooking the outside of their mouth and technically snagging.

No skill needed , you should fill your kids pool with water and stock it . You can dangle the bait in front of then .

You shouldn't reel them in while they are pulling drag. It will twist your line.
