The Boots from Honda are discontinued, what is a good aftermarket replacement. The one I replaced from NAPA only lasted 2 years.

im replacing mine tomorrow. i was worrier because the boots that i got look a little narrow on the end that points out. It looks like your new ones have the same diameter opening so im hoping all goes well

That grease I can put any multipurpose grease ?? And on the boots it need to be metal straps to hold it or it can be regular big plastic straps ?

I believe there is specific axle grease to use and it’s highly recommended for metal straps instead of the plastic tie straps

nice in detail video was helpful. i recently replaced my inner and outer tie rods along with the boots and a fresh alignment a couple months ago before seeing this video. although i never knew there were hoses that connect to the nipples on the boots. not to mention, mine were never connected in the first place. i thought they were just to add grease or something ? will be connecting mine asap. anyways, any idea what those hoses do ?

I heard that its to allow the air to move around as that boot is sealed on both ends and needs to expand and contract.

How did u know it needed to be replaced was it making a loud clunking noise ?

I saw the torn boots when i was underneath attaching the power steering hose back into position. If its making a noise, the damage is already done.
