In the books, it was Tonks who finds Harry in the train compartment after Draco attacks him. She was assigned as a protector for Hogwarts (and specifically Harry) since she's an Auror.

Maggie Smith(the amazing, badass Professor McGonagall) was battling breast cancer while filming this one. She continued filming despite being in pain and being weakend from chemotherapy because she didn't want to dissapoint the fans. In 2009, she was given a clean bill of health and had fully recovered from her battle. She's just as badass as her character. Also fun fact: the actor who played young Tom Riddle is Hero Fiennes, the nephew of Voldemort himself Ralph Fiennes.

The book begins very differently. Dumbledore collects Harry at the Dursleys (and explains to them that Sirius's house is now Harry's since Sirius made him his heir. The House Elf Kreacher is also Harry's property. Cornelius Fudge was sacked for his incompetence and replaced by Rufus Scrimgeour (you will see him only in the next movie), for the whole 6th year, he tries to recruit Harry into the Ministry propaganda machine to tell people the Ministry is active against Voldemort. Harry tells him off several times just because they tend to illegally imprison anyone they suspect without researching the cases seriously and also after what he went through the previous year, he doesn't trust them. He only sticks to Dumbledore and his mission. The first chapter still references Death Eaters wrecking havoc in the Muggle world, destroying a bridge... (for the movie they chose the Millenium pedestrian bridge because upon its inauguration it sufferred a design flaw that made it very unstable, they had to modify it for a few months before reopening it so, as that incident was fresh in the public's memory, they took that bridge to describe the incident in the movie, I thought about it immediately while reading the book and that choice was very predictable ! ) The book mentions a normal bridge with cars... Death Eaters are the devout fanatics inner circle of Voldemort. They think his their friend when in fact he care very little about them, he just uses them as pawns. Voldemort has no friends, except for his snake Nagini. Bellatrix is the most fanatic and loyal servent of Voldemort, she might even be in love with him despite being married. Luna is that kind of character who gives no sht about what others say. She's a fan favorite. The memories quest in the book offers much more insight on Voldemort: his mother Merope Gaunt grew up is a haywire family from Slytherin descent. Her father was completely crazy, her brother half debil (too much consanguinity in pure blood families), she was so much terrorized by her family that her magical powers were practically non existent. She fancied a rich Muggle neighbour by the name of... Tom Riddle. He viewed her as a poor and undesirable person so to get with him, she made a love potion and went with him. She was very upset to force things so she stopped giving him the potion, hoping that with time feelings from him would be real but they were not and he went away as soon as the enchantment was lifted. She was already pregnant with Tom Jr and was so heartbroken that she gave birth on the steps of the Orphenage and died. Tom always thought his father was great but when he discovered that his father was an enchanted Muggle his arrogance became cold hatred. He's anhedonic, he feels very little pleasure, especially from human relationships, hence why he sees his D E as pawns. He became fearful of losing his life and his power, thinking of himself as the best wizard in the world (he certainly made some breakthroughs in dark magic for his time but there were more dangerous and powerful dark wizards than him in History to be honest) Ron is very insecure, he's the last boy or six and was most left to his own devices (not deprived of love either) but never had anything other than second hand, his family being quite poor and his brothers getting all the attention, and now his friends...

11:15 fun fact, voldemort's mother used the love potion on voldemort's father, who was a very handsome muggle. She got pregnant to Voldemort while her husband was still on love potion. That's why voldemort cannot feel love for anyone and is full of hate, it is because the love between his parents was not real, it was just the effect of love potion. After a while, she taught her husband actually loves him and that she doesn't need the love potion anymore. So she stop using it, hoping he would still loves her. But she was very wrong... As soon as the effect of the love potion faded away, he left her while she was still pregnant to Voldemort. It is never said in the books, but i always taught Voldemort's hate for muggles came from his muggle father abandoning him.

Voldemort didn't intend for Draco to succeed in killing Dumbledore. . .in fact he didn't even expect him to live. This was his way of punishing Lucius for failing to get the Prophecy. What better way to hurt Lucius than having his son killed trying to do the impossible?

Yes, young Tom Riddle is played by the actor who plays Harden from the “After” series: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin. And is the nephew to Ralph Fiennes, the actor who plays Voldemort.

Death Eaters are the active followers of Voldemort. They are basically his crew, his army, his henchmen (and henchwomen). Once you become a Death Eater, you receive that skull/snake tattoo, which is permanent. And so is being a Death Eater. You can join, but trying to leave is impossible. Voldemort will not let you live -- once he knows you are disloyal.

Salazar Slytherin was a parselmouth, he passed down this gift to Tom Riddle, and Tom Riddle to Harry when he tried to kill him when he was a baby but his spell backfired.

We all know Professor Snape deep down to not be a bad person, but he has a role to play and it really puts conflict and confusion as to what you should think about him throughout the movies and I say that they did really good with his character

I've always liked Genny Weasley from the start. I was always hoping that Genny and Harry would adventually get together and I was so happy when they did finally did get together in book/movie 6. I like the movies but I love the books so much more. In the books you get to see how much Harry and his friends really care for each other and how much they are there for each other and everything. Harry really does have some really loyal, loving friends who stick by his side through it all. I really would like to know what you think of the books. The books really got me to love the characters so much more than the movies ever could. There is one character that's in the books but not in the movies. I think this is one of the better HP movies, but it’s also one of the worst adaptations. In the book, the potions book was also a journal, filled with the writings of the Half Blood Prince, you learn why he has that name, you learn a lot more about his time at Hogwarts (as you hoped for at the beginning of this video), and it’s quite a bit more insightful about Snape. In the movie there is NONE of that, until randomly in one scene Snape just goes “I’m the half blood Prince” and it doesn’t really mean anything or have any impact you’re just like “ok bit random lol”. Big shame. Good movie none the less.
