The game looks really polished and really nice look to it. I'm hoping it comes to more platforms in the future, as I'd love to play it some day.

I really wish that people would just stop referring to gaming fans with a large platform as gaming "journalists." And stop referring to gaming companies like IGN and Kotaku as gaming "news" sites... So a game like TLOU Part 2 throws the sexuality of its characters in your face to the point of even showing rappy scenes every chance they get... And that's okay? But a game like Stellar Blade whose characters are simply attractive, that's problematic??

here is the thing attractive female characters does not equel sexualized female characters and even if they are sexualized judge them based on how well they are written. There is a reason why 2B and bayonetta are so iconic and samus she wears a tight body suit and she isn't sexualized. How about we should wait until steller blade is released and we judge eve based on how she is as a character.

I pre-ordered deluxe edition before i knew anything about the game just because of the character design. I just wanted to be a part of supporting this game to help prove a point and prevent us from only being able to play as ugly people in the future. Everyone playing video games want's to immerse themselve and create an ideal version of themselves or how they would want to look instead of how they look. Men wants to see attractive women, or play as a more attractive version of themselves. Women wants to see hot men, or play as a more attractive version of themselves. Sex sells is an expression for a reason, why the sudden need to pretend like this isn't true? Should we start making ugly men in video games as well, because most of us don't walk around with a 28 pack.

What I think is most hilarious about all of this is seeing all of these people show the world exactly who they really are and how they really feel to the world and not even realize it. For instance, David Jaffe's comment about men wanting to play it in order to play dress up is up there in showing how he views it. Like maybe there are men that like to play dress up in a video game and make their character look cool, or cute, or sexy. Why should anybody care? Why is that a bad thing. It reminds me of how many in society say men need to express their feelings more, but when a man does express his feelings, those same people will treat the man as if he is weak or gay and make fun of him over it. Then there was the comment about how sexualization leads to assaults and murders. They seem to be arguing that the mere sight of a sexy woman is enough to drive a man to violence, which is a common belief in patriarchal societies. In many parts of the world, they believe that if a woman is not covered up, she is in danger so women are strongly "encouraged" to dress as modestly as possible. In other words, Horseshoe theory gains more credibility. What's more is that they usually defend sexualiization when it is something like what happens on Twitch. They complain about sexy female characters in games, and recommend pI*rn, but then you go on Twitch, a gaming site and the first thing you are bombarded with is softcore p*rn. Would that not also lead to assaults and murder by their own logic, or is there some sort of insane leap I am missing here that causes fiction to have a stronger ability to enrage men? IGN's review comes across as incredibly misogynistic. EVE's character was based on a real woman's body. IGN therefore called a real woman a s*x doll. The amount of hypocrisy I see from people who claim to be all about body positivity who have nitpicked and judged the character 's appearance is astounding. This is who they really are. This isn't surprising to me though. I've seen how many on ResetEra treat those they claim to champion. The same people that throw around all of the ists and phobes throw around plenty of slurs as well when they think think somebody is now an acceptable target. Said person essentially loses their "protection" and therefore the woke believe it is okay to be racist or sexist or homophobic or whatever towards that person. And speaking of hypocrisy. The fact they complain about sexualization and objectification and yet the first thing they can think of when arguing somebody is to insult them based on how f*ckable they are says more than they would like you to realize. They make the assumption often before ever meeting or speaking to a person. So just like how the IGN reviewer assumed that the creator of Eve was an incel because they couldn't fathom the possibility that she was based on a real woman. In fact they never consider the women in the industry that also make attractive female characters, instead they automatically assume it must be some sweaty nerd in a basement making it.

The most ridiculous thing to me in all this is how these gaming publications are creating controversy that didn't exist. I never once thought about RE5 being racist until IGN randomly posted on it. I never would have looked twice at Stellar Blade. There is nothing offensive about human beings wearing tight clothing. And some women happen to have big butts and breasts. So are we going to discriminate against pretty women now? These people are sick in the head. They are the ones thinking about messed up things. Not the average gamer. This is getting out of hand.
