@Avocaza if the word “prime” was implied (he said most folks), what exact birthdate range are we talking about, who saw Kobe’s prime, but not Michael’s ? Let’s say Kobe’s prime was around 2006, and MJ 1992 (subjective prime dates). People born in 1986 would have seen Kobe’s prime at 20, but would have been in kindergarten and likely too young to watch Michael in his prime. However, that person still saw the end of MJs second 3 peat when he was still pretty great. really, you are talking a specific group born between 1984-1994, since people after 1994 would be 11 in Kobe’s prime.

When Michael Jordan speaks about Kobe, there seems to be a special place in his heart for Bryant, as opposed to other players. I'm not saying other players don't want to be the best, but Kobe was on another level. Jordan knows how much work, how much sacrifice it takes to get to that level and he seems to really appreciate how Kobe approached the game.

Jordan is the perfect fit for the job, when you think of Jordan you also think of Kobe. He will always be in our hearts. 5 rings he was able to fill up one hand with rings on one team. Kobe was cold. I still can't believe he's gone growing up I wanted to be like Kobe.

When Kobe passed the Love that I had for basketball went with him. I can literally be watching a game and that’s just that...the excitement I used to feel while watching basketball is nonexistent. Every now and then I’ll catch a spectacular game by Curry...but it’s still not the same for me. Not sure if my Love for the game will ever return 🤦🏾‍♂️ It’s awesome that MJ is introducing him at the ceremony. But, how awesome would it had been for Kobe to be there and blessing us with his speech and admiration for the game he loved very dearly. Miss you Kobe 😢
