Can’t believe how much this still effects me. Koby was someone that 99.999% of his fans never even met. Yet his loss feels so personal… like a family member passed. Btw, I recently had my first child, he’s now 17 months old. If my fiancé and child suddenly died… I don’t know if I’d have the will to live… Let alone publicly speak. Vanessa is an inspiration and deserves everyone’s love and support.

Kobe Bryant - Hearing you going into the hall of fame wasn't a shocker because you enter the league everyone knows players need to make a name of themselves in the league what you did through 19 seasons later you were just a young an upcoming player until you retired as a legend. In the 2000 era, you put your name on the map knowing how good you were becoming and paired w/ Shaq that turned into the greatest duo in the NBA by winning 3 straight titles. When you were developing you became better and you were never afraid of taking clutch shots at crunchtime. Getting 5 championships wasn't easy but you got them. Being a 17x all star you earned it. One game scoring 81 points that's greatness. When I was young I hated you knowing you were playing aggressive and getting what you want. Now at my age I can't hate you anymore knowing how would it feel without you next year. In 2020, hearing you and your daughter died in a helicopter really put a hole in all of our hearts including your enemies and not seeing you on stage getting enshrined is a massive heartbreaker. I wanna say congratulations on your accomplishments, your 5 championships, and thank you for your competitiveness year round of being the Black Mamba a hall of famer and to all of us a basketball god. Thank you 20 year veteran Kobe Bryant.

There was the "mamba mentality" of persistent hard work, focus, and obsessive dedication to his craft. His competitive drive on the court. His passion for his family and his dedication for girls' and women's hoops. His love for the game and MJ and his love of the arts, etc., etc., etc. As a Celtics fan for almost 50 years, I always wanted his teams to lose, but more importantly, I always wanted to see him play. And after his career, I wanted to hear him speak. He was an amazing human being who transcended basketball. Continue to rest in peace, Kobe Bryant.

I know Kobe and his daughter r looking down and smiling cause this isn't a sad thing it is an honor and a celebration of his time here with his completionments on the court but as well as off the court that's y he was loved by many

His speech would have been iconic

He could always join a better team when the Lakers boat was sinking to get a 6th championship but he chose not to. He placed his desire for glory on second place and placed first loyalty, friendship and love. He could have, with that 6th chip the phraise and perhaps could be called the greatest of all time, that which he desired from a small kid but as he grew he realised they were other things more important than just winning and that can be easly portraited at their last chip where he was the last one holding the ball, he could score but he turned around and run back to his friends to share the moment with them.. This is why he is a Hall of famer for me, he was a boy when he came in with just one desire and he left the league ascended for something greater.

The real Hall of Fame, the NBA Hall of Fame, will be their 75 Greatest Players for the NBA's 75th anniversary later this year. Of course Kobe is among the 75 Greatest NBA players ever!
