Well damn man! We have the same story! My mom married an alcoholic when I was 10. He used to come home drunk and beat her up in front of me. I was too young and too small to do anything about it. She used to enable him too though. I called 911 once when he was beating her and I got in trouble for it because “Mike is a great guy. It’s the alcohol that is bad, not Mike”. That was the night she told me she wished I had never been born. I’ll never forget the night when he was beating her up in the hallway and had kicked several holes in the wall and pulled the phone cord out of the wall so we couldn’t call 911. I told him to stop and he paused and looked me in the eyes and said “what are you going to do about it?” I was never the same after that. I wanted to protect her but I knew I couldn’t. I used to sit in my closet with a knife praying that I would have the courage to plunge it into his chest if he came in my room. I felt powerless. I’ve always hated bullies. I started lifting weights in junior high so I could defend myself. I tried steroids for the first time in college. It was like they had been waiting for me. Getting big was an obsession. It took me years, an arrest for possession of steroids, and lots of counseling to realize why. In my mind, I had to settle the score with every “Mike” that ever crossed my path. Thanks for the story and for the honesty. I hope you confront and conquer your “Mike” before too much damage is done.

Yeah for real, could've maybe left out the childhood stuff and talked more about the actual experience of the substance but I get why he put it in there to show where he was in his life when trying. Personally, my belief is steroids is only something men in their 40's should take for rejuvenating purposes. Most action movie stars do it. Many doctors recommend it regardless of the patients test results. "Not saying doctors aren't for profit lol" There's no shame in taking steroids, just need to have the right reasons, and education on something that's going to alter your body. It's the same with HGH. Also, have the money and regimen, cause as any who understands the substance knows it isn't cheap and doesn't just make you big, YOU make you big, it just helps you to do that with recovery and overall body's desire to grow.

Larry, that was a remarkable story, what is also amazing about it is that it was not long ago, your childhood was in the 2010 decade. You have come so far so fast, physically and personally. I hope and pray, as many lost young people hear your message. Your message is powerful and it's not the past, you are evolving as we speak. My favorite joke: what is going to be written on my tombstone--my epitaph, "He said he didn't need a spot!" The message is not, lift without a spotter, that's not smart, it's more, I was in the gym, going heavy and I died doing what I love.

That's respect lost for me, like someone hiding their meth addiction and coming out clean, but still using it makes no difference. Steroids aren't cool and doesn't prove anything of your natural strength. This guy is basically addicted to being the strongest, and in turn(to drugs) he made up a story to somehow make it seem acceptable that he uses steroids(and will continue doing so) because his dad left him when he was 1 years old. I give props to natural strength, this guy is far from it.
