I worked in a factory with Stevie. I was a kid and I asked him about music. He said "how do you know who I am" and I said "you're a legend". "I suppose you're wondering why I'm working here then?" "I know why you'r working here, I still think you're a f**king legend." After he knew I wasn't being a smart arse and that I genuinely respected him (Jesus I was in awe of him) we got along famously and so many laughs together. It's easy to say this about someone, but he was a lovely guy with a great sense of humour. I cried when he passed. Stevie, thanks for the laughs and the music. And for those few weeks, thanks for the friendship.

Yep! I agree with so many of you. Stevie was the coolest guy in the mid-sixties. If I'd been old enough to see these guys, I think I would have preferred them over my favourite band The Beatles - and that is something crazy to think. So sad about little Stevie. Then we lost George! Far out. Life goes quickly. Harry, Snowy and Dick it's your legacy now. Onya guys you were so so great! Be proud of what you created. Great songs. Great times.

Addiction never goes away - you're always a "recovering addict,". I'm 20 yrs clean of heroin but still in recovery. I still dream of it occasionally. I gave up 100 times - the last one being the 20 yrs. Never say never.

I attended the Easybeats reunion concert in 86 when they came to Brisbane. I will never forget Harry on stage. The archetype of everything I imagined a guitarist to be.
