Tbh I use the Stg44 over the Ribeyrolles just because it has not enough Rof! But that's my opinion

@@phipschi4255 I'm not good at recoil control so I prefer weapons with lower RoF and higher accuracy LOL. I have grinded the gold plated skins for Ribeyrolles, MP34, and Bren, which could be the 3 slowest RoF automatic weapons. For MMGs however, I think the higher RoF the better as you are in the stationary position and you need this as an advantage to avoid being killed.

I actually hated it in BF1 but love it in BFV go figure

@@shawnstro7835 stg44 is assault level 13 unlock. The ribeyrolles you have to go to the main menu, then go to company, and then select assault, click on replace weapon and you’ll see it for sale. For some reason you can’t but the guns in game.

I mean it's not in the game (yet). But it would peform similar to the ribeyrolles

@@chrislee3720 Not entirely... Federov shot the 6.5x55 Japanese. Power wise, that's like a hot 7.62x39 in an AK-47 which 7.62x39 and 7.92x33 Kurz in the STG-44 are pretty similar in ballistics. So in short... game balance purposes, it'd perform roughly the same. If they wanted to distinguish it, make it kind of like the AG-42 in the semi auto category. Slightly more damage than the M1 Carbine and take 1 less bullet at all distances compared to it. So, make it do a hair bit more over the standard AR fare and call it good. BAR on the other hand... yeah that's a lot different. And I hope when they add it to the game they DONT make it an LMG. It was never intended to be used in that role.

I think the stg is more powerful because of raw dps and the weapon is easy enough to control plus has more potential due to a bigger magazine. Im interested how the other two assault rifles come in to play compared to these ones.

The only reason why people call the STG the first AR is because it was the first mass produced one. I do agree on your view on the STG44 V Ribey. If im on a close range map i use the STG but slap the Ribey on for longer range maps, because bipod.

@@raptorcell6633 Not the only reason why. It's also because it's the rifle that literally coined the term. However, once the world agreed on what a characteristics a rifle must have to be an Assault Rifle, historically speaking the idea had been done several times prior.

Hmm I’ve been playing more with the STG recently, and it might be better. It is filthy.

It's not the first. Federov Avtomat predates the Ribeyrolles. By definition an Assault Rifle is a rifle firing an intermediate cartridge, detachable box magazine, and is select fire. The Federov meets those requirements. While at the time the 6.5x55 Japanese wasnt considered "intermediate" by ballistics, it is. The thing is, how we define an assault rifle however is all based on the features of the STG-44. And it definitely is the father of modern assault rifles as it really showed what the concept could be with better technology. And even the Federov Avtomat wasnt the first... The Winchester 1907 SLR converted to full auto in the form of the 1907 SF would by definition be an Assault Rifle. So tons of rifles out there can be debated about which is the first assault rifle but considered the very way we define what an assault rifle is stems from the STG-44, credit is due.

@@chrislee3720 In a 20 inch barrel its coming out roughly around 2,500 feet per second around 1,800 ft lbs of energy with a 138gr bullet. .30-30 Winchester in a 20 inch barrel with a 130gr bullet is doing around 2,500 fps at 1,800 ft lbs as well. 7.62x39 in a 16.25 inch barrel with a 123gr bullet is doing around 2,400 fps and 1,600 ft lbs. So, while the 6.5x50 Arisaka IS more powerful, it needs a longer barrel to achieve said performance but it's still in that same ball park of other intermediate calibers. The Ribeyrolles from my understanding used a 180gr bullet pushing 1,900 fps. That would put it around 1,440 ft lbs or so. Not much info is out there on it however. So, the 6.5 has that potential to be more powerful, but in general it fits in with the rest of them. As I said before, for game balance purposes I'd make that minor distinction of doing extra damage at range to make up for the similarities. The AG-42 fires the 6.5x55 Swede which is very close in power to the Arisaka round, yet in the game it does a little more damage over the .30 Carbine which on paper is a significantly weaker round pushing a 110gr bullet around 1,900 fps and around 900 ft lbs. But if they buffed the AG-42 to equal the other semi auto rifles it would be too similar to other existing options and it wouldnt serve much a purpose. It already doesnt have much of a use when stacked against the M1 Carbine outside of those super long range shots. I'd hate to see the same fate befall a weapon like the Federov.
