Sticking It To An Ex

The People's Court

The People's Court

2 жыл бұрын

The plaintiff says he dated the defendant and they moved in together. He helped the defendant out with car expenses, bills, and rent, and then realized it was a one-sided relationship. He also claims he cheated on him with his ex. He’s suing for what he’s owed, and harassment. The defendant claims the plaintiff cheated first, and he insists he doesn’t owe him a penny.

Never put things in your name for other people. There's a reason they can't put in their name, and it's usually because they have bad credit from not paying past bills and debts. If they didn't pay those bills, what makes you think they're gonna pay the bill that you're on the hook for?

@@kamwilliams5541 The only exception is parents putting an apartment or a car in their name because their children are too young to have a credit history or they are co-signer/guarantors for them. In this situation, he knew the guy had bad credit because he didn’t pay his bills. He also knew the guy didn’t have a job, so this was all around foolish. Hopefully in his future relationships he stops trying to raise grown men.

@@Nevaeh1 Agreed. Our sons are 18 and 21, and we have their cell phones in our name because they're in college and live with us during weekends and vacations, and we would sign for them and apartment or a cat if necessary, because they're both very responsible and they both work hard and take care of their responsibilities. Our job as parents is to put them in a good position to be on their own when they leave school, so that's just something we feel we should do to help them along the way. If they defaulted on any future car or apartment/house leases, though, it wouldn't be something we'd do again unless and until we were certain they'd gotten their crap together.

They BOTH annoyed me...as a Gay Black male, situations like this are so sad to me. The defendant was HORRIBLE. It's obvious that he was using the plaintiff but when he was bragging about physically assaulting him - that was beyond disgusting. The fact that you would brag about hitting someone who paid your bills and helped you get a car.....all I can say is - the defendant ain't SHIT. Anybody who is dating him is in for a problem and needs to RUN the other way. I also think it's disgusting that some Gay men think it's okay to be violent with each other just because they are both men...this is proof that the "love" was never really there in the first place. Domestic violence is wrong regardless of whether it's a strait relationship or a Gay relationship. This whole case was a hot ass mess.

It’s a method she uses sometimes while she’s cross examining both plaintiff and defendant to determine who’s telling the truth and who isn’t. It’s completely normal. Just because they’re being nice in that moment doesn’t mean she should change the way she operates. They came to her, not the other way around. Also, she read through hundreds of texts between the two of them cussing each other out and being petty to one another. You could tell she was troubled as she was talking about the texts. So whether or not they were being all chill in court, she knew exactly what type of people she was dealing with.

Why even marry someone with bad credit? Credit shows if a person is responsible financially. What’s wrong with this judge? She started off very rude saying that the plaintiff implied that the dealership put the car in his name by accident. He never said that, he said they told him it didn’t matter whose name the car was in. Almost every case she has she’s rude and it’s sad.

She isn't rude. She's holding him accountable for the truth. The dealership didn't make a mistake, as he was trying to imply. He made a CHOICE to put the car in his name for the purpose of getting a better deal. You're probably not used to being held accountable to tell the truth. Which is why you perceive her as mean.

@@boredGrinch I guess it depends on your fighting style. Some people, usually girls (or prissy gay guys like these two) fight by just aimlessly flailing around, biting, what have you with no real skill or tactic. Some people fight with more organized "form." Depends on your mindset. I agree though either way, it's immature.

How is she rude? They can't keep interrupting each when they were giving a testimony. You can't have people taking over each other in a courtroom. It leads to anarchy. The time to talk to each other is over. If either one of them wants to objects to what the other said, let that person finish, then when you are given the floor, you make your statement.
