Those whites you're referring to don't exactly understand how bad some of the Aborigines have it, especially in more remote communities. I do know that there are programs and such in place to try and help out, such as Bridging the gap. Closer to where I live, there were some programs in school that were aimed at encouraging Indigenous kids to come to school and be successful, even offers to try and encourage them to do certificates at tafe for free. There's a whole bunch of stuff being done that I've seen where I live and it's great! Those white people you mentioned are probably referring to stuff like this, but I think it's pretty fair. Regardless of ethnicity, people deserve help wherever needed and we should treat one another with kindness and respect.
