You can teach yourself how to live in the moment and stop worrying by using a grounding meditation.
Sometimes before your feet even hit the ground, you’re worrying. A grounding meditation will stop you from overthinking (thinking of the past or future). Anchoring yourself to the here and now.
This short grounding meditation helps you feel the connection between the earth and your body. Brings you fully into awareness through mindfulness your breath, and the sensations in your body.
And a little guided imagery relaxation journey reinforces the bond between the ground and your feet.
This particular guided grounding meditation uses your imagination to visualize a beautiful day, where you walk barefoot across the grass. I purposefully have not used music in this meditation because it will be an unwanted distraction.
Following along with this grounding meditation will help you reduce worrying too much so you can enjoy your day.
Grounding techniques such as a meditation for grounding can be of benefit to people with anxiety, high levels of stress, PTSD and for coping with dissociation episodes.
