The helmet was crafted by doran and was given to yi before he set off to fight the war. It's used to enhance his vision. He can see all around him which is very cool.

He said that he cut the vines consuming the spirits, like the one consuming the old lady's pet. Like I said before "he can interfere FOR spirits, but he cannot interact WITH spirits." He cut down things in the metaphysical world that was consuming life and spirits.

I think they never used wuju publicly, like "in the shadows" I mean in ionia people carrying swords are just swordsmen so it's not like they would know what a wuju swordsmaster would look like. They were never revealed at that point, and never used.

Oh btw, if you want someone equally strong as yi. In game the skill spotlight for jax he was fighting yi, so maybe a little teaser for what's to come? Maybe yi will meet jax and fight each other. Maybe even settling with each other as equal's. Holy shit that would be lit

and this "only survivor" stuff is just the usual to make yi another super edgelord who lost everything in live but does not go down because he is just to strong to give up ... like noone in runterra ever got depressed for life or stuff like that .. everything allways ends up ok o:
