Lars and Hwoarang players are actually exactly the same tho. This is the spiderman pointing at eachother meme. They both require you to do quite a bit more labbing than other characters or you’ll get gimmicked out. Lars has wacky movement and the players are gremlin for sure but Hwoa players roll their faces across the controller until Kishin so its basically the same thing.

Hey Lotus if possible could you touch more on that thing you said about Lars, where you don’t see a difference between the Lars you fight now and the ones you fought in red ranks. I main Lars and hit blue ranks recently and I just feel stuck with, I kinda feel it’s due to his lack of skill expression In these ranks that are kinda close together so I might just pick up my old main DJ.

You keep mentioning Lars frames and yes he is very attacky, but he's DEFINITELY not as bad a hwoarang. The main difference is that Hwoarang can spam constant strings so constantly chip your health down. Lars has to pause and you actually feel like you get a turn. Lars is easier to read and it's less of a guessing game. Hwoarang has more moves from the same multiple stances. Even when you dont know, it's easier to interrupt Lars bs more often. Imo

I’ve actually haven’t run into hwo players who are too crazy. After playing him myself I realized he’s not bad. But Lars players have ALWAYS been crazy. It’s like guaranteed

Lars movement is SO ugly. Like.. he always looks like someone has picked him up fighting games day one and is pressing all the buttons.. zero efficiency to his movement..
