How to express strong opinions in Spanish exactly as a native speakers do using a special "tweak" most students don't know about!

MONDAY LESSON SERIES: • Monday's Spanish Lesso...
Hi everyone, back with you for another Monday Spanish lesson :)
As you know, saying that you "can't stand" something is a pretty powerful way to express an opinion. It's something we use quite a lot in everyday English as well.
In todays video I'm going to show you can do the same in Spanish. I'll also show you how to say it exactly as a native speaker would using a special "tweak" to the formula.
It's this kind of stuff that you can only pick up from being around native speakers 24/7 as I am. I'm happy to be able to pass it along to you so that your Spanish continues to sound as natural as possible.
Enjoy and see you next Monday,
Paul

Just a word of caution about "soportar." Don't be fooled into thinking that it means "to support.' It doesn't; it's a Falso Amigo of that word. "To support" in Spanish is "apoyar." Another word that means the same thing as "soportar" is "aguantar," and it can be used in exactly the same way. "No aguanto a mi jefe.' "I can't stand my boss." "No aguanto estar aquí un minuto más." I can't stand being here another minute."

I have serious learning disabilities. I have been trying to learn Spanish for over 10 years but struggle with retention. I have tried every lesson available on U-tube and they make me mentally exhausted. They speak so fast it just frustrates me. Your lessons give me hope. I appreciate the speed in which you speak and being able to see how each word is spelled. I've learned more in 5 months using your lessons than I have in the past 10 years through tapes and books. Muchisimas gracias

I'm at that point in my Spanish learning journey where I know basic grammar and a good amount of words. I was kind of at a standstill until I came across your channel. I love that you teach us every day expressions and give us many examples on how to build sentences upon them. Very helpful. Thank you

@legaleagle46

Matthew Farnan. No significan lo mismo... "No soporto comer solo" da a entender que quien eso expresa aborrece SIEMPRE comer sin compañía. "No soporto estar comiendo solo" implica más bien que la persona que lo dice se refiere a ESA COMIDA en concreto.

"Tiempo" seems to be the word used for specific weather conditions. "¿Qué tiempo hace hoy? Hace sol y un poco de viento.' "What's the weather like today? "It's sunny and a little windy." "Clima," on the other hand, refers to weather in general, that is, the climate. "¿Qué clima tiene México?" "What's the weather like in Mexico in general?"
