As much as I've grown to love Sam, she clearly has a dark side due to having the hot-headedness from her father and her trauma (and also Johnny's training) made her more aggressive towards Cobra Kai (mainly Tory) which is justified since the existence of Tory caused her to be angry and miserable.

Remember that Silver told Daniel that he is, if not entirely, a "hothead" and sees that Cobra Kai within him, no wonder that it is both inherited by both LaRusso kids. And speaking of Silver, the fact that Sam is devastated over losing to Tory and made worse with Miguel out of town, this opens an opportunity for Silver to worm his way into Sam's life like what he did to her dad in 1985, he will manipulate her currently vulnerable state and sees her a potential replacement for Tory as Cobra Kai's "Queen Cobra", rebelling against her father.

One thing that pisses me off about the rivalry is how dumbed down it is. Amanda just helps out Tory when she assaulted her daughter twice in an environment where she's supposed to feel twice. Then Amanda refers to this problem at the tournmanent as "Petty bullshit" which is clearly more than that. I genuinely feel like in order to have the audience root for Tory, they had to show Sam in a dark light with a lack of her POV.

It's good that you mention her PTSD. She may have learned to lay it to rest but some of it is still in her and controlls her emotions, instincts reflexes. Even in her aggressive mode behaviour Sam still isn't bad. Like the show Robby and Tory were putting on at the party and Torys insults, for traumatized people aggression is like gravity, it only takes one little push.

Samantha Larusso was never polarizing to me. People keep failing to recognize that she is still human, an imperfect being. Sam is the daughter of Daniel Larusso, but she is not him. She is her own person and this past season she came into her own.

Idk. She’s made some mistakes and done some dumb things. But I actually really like her. I thought it was badass when she confronted Tory in the school and told her the same thing that Tory originally threatened her with.

I love sam's arch however, she needs Chozen not Daniel to train her, because Chozen understands the melding of highly aggressive fighting with balanced living.

Throughout the past four seasons, Sam's arc has definitely been a great one. I think that Sam training under Chozen will help her become a more balanced fighter, and could give her advice on how to end her rivalry with Tory.

I think the rivalry between Sam and Tory is far from over, although I think their animosity is slowly dissolving, there could be at least a level of respect for each other after fighting each other in the finals of the tournament. The saying the movie Troy, when King Priam told Achilles "Even the greatest of enemies can show respect." Johnny seems to be more of this person to be redeeming people. He works at getting his life together. He redeemed Miguel and even helped him recover from his injury, he redeemed Hawk, and helped Sam forge her own path, and to a small extent redeemed his old Sensei John Kreese. So maybe he can help Sam and Tory put their petty differences aside since he briefly mentored Tory and he mentored Sam.

I really like this video I also cannot wait to see Sam’s character in season five. like in season for Johnny helped Sam I think chosen will do the same for her in season five. her character keeps on getting better since season one and I’ve liked her character more this season I cannot wait to see what she’ll be like in season five. I think in season five her and Tori rival will be stopped her and Tori might not fight as much in season five as I have previous seasons. maybe her and Tori will talk more than fight in season five I would love to see them talk. if they ever do another old Valley high think Sam will win the women’s division next time

THEORY: Sam will have an encounter with Silver and Silver will say something like. “Ooooh, quick temper. Just like your old man. You two are more Cobra Kai than you want to admit, probably would have made exceptional students.”

Wow 2 videos in one day nice. Have to admit this is probably the first season with perhaps say the first half of season 1 where you can say Sam was morally in the wrong. It probably didn't help her that since tori for most part has been the aggressor for the last 2 seasons that she has been in the moral right for so long, that she always she herself as good and tori bad. Perhaps if Johnny saw a bit of Sam's behaviour he might of given her advice that's she is going to far, like he did with Miguel in season 2 after the finals in season 1. I'm glad she and Miguel didn't break up this season, as that could of gotten stale pretty quickly. One interesting thing to think in Sam and Miguel's relationship is that in some ways Sam has fallen for a boy that's like her father, which Miguel has become more like Daniel this season. I wonder what her interactions with chozen will be like, since he was a karate rival of her father's that fought him to the death. Probably question how her dad got on well with him quicker than Johnny and perhaps tat given how her dad forgave a more hostile rival with chozen, she can do the same with tori.

I actually wondered why the whole season why Sam is so antagonistic towards Tory this season, but when I saw how afraid she was of Tory after losing the sudden death round, I understood that she's striking first and trying to get into Tory's head *because* of the fear. Sam just wants to stop being afraid of Tori and strikes first all the time as a power play. I think in the next season, she'll finally have a CALM conversation with Tory, and become neutral towards each other, as they probably could never be friends. And they'd also have a rematch, no audience, with a referee they both agree on, and Tory would win again, as the confusion with the referee during the fight put them in "off" headsets. I think Tory winning again, and Sam no longer being afraid would be more satisfying than Sam winning all together, and Tory wouldn't of fought with hate both times. And Tory would be an ally for the Miyagi-Do movement, because she prefers Kreese to Silver, and it's another "enemy of my enemy" thing.

I think Chozen is ultimately going to turn her around. Johnny's going to be in Mexico, and I'm going to guess Sam's going to be demotivated to the point of near quitting in episode 1. I'm also going to guess that her reaction to finding out about the cheating is going to be a critical point in her character. Does she see the real enemy in Terry or does she let her bias against Tory fuel her hatred even further?

I have never found Sam at all polarizing. Sure she made a mistake accusing her at the beach club, but had already shown herself to be a thief. and she misbehav at the birthday party, but Tory had tried to disfigure her face for life. Tory should have had a long prison sentence. Sam may be imperfect but still very good. pluse she is so cute. after Johnny, she's my favorite character.

i honesty dont think its much as a change, only difference is that she taking johnny advice on striking first. Since she indirectly caused their rivalry in season 2 at country club

I just feel bad for Miguel in all of this. Does Sam really still like Miguel, or is he just a weapon in her battle against Tory? Did Tory really like Miguel? Or did she just use him too? Like, leave this poor kid alone.

I think Silver wants the best. So paying off the judge works 2 ways Tory wins for Cobra Kai and Sam now believes she is not good enough. He now can get the best fighter to join Cobra Kai.

I fear, that she might try to start a fight with Tory in season 5, she is violent and cruel, there is always a chance. Frankly I don't want that. Let the season 4 All Valley, be the end of Tory vs. Sam arc. To me that's enough. I don't think they should, or will ever be friends, but at least no more fighting. Same with Robby and Miguel, they should be neutral to one another, and fight no more. I think that Tory will be a mole in CK, pretending to trust Terry, and working against him silently. Some say that Sam might join CK, maybe if Tory leaves. The two can't be together in the same place, they are complete opposites. So if Sam is in CK, Tory should be in Eagle Fang. I see the possibility of Bobby teaching Eagle Fangs instead of Johnny. For his best friend, he would do anything. I also see an option, of Sensei Mike. I imagine Mike will now be wealthy, doesn't need Silver's money, and a good guy. That is my theory, good Mike, against Terry, maybe brings Robby and Tory to his own Dojo. And you said you see Sam as a good person, well I don't. I am doing a research, to point out every bad thing, she and her rotten family did+ Robby and some others. I think Sam is actually a pretty cool character, she always has that aggression inside her but was the only one who didn't join Cobra Kai

I mean she started out as an extremely sheltered rich girl whose main interests were getting a boyfriend and being popular. However, thanks in part to all the Cobra Kai stuff she got progressively more involved but as we're shown time and time again she is both a very bad judge of character and decision maker. It seems like she inherented some of Daniel's more negative qualities, namely his violent temper and stubborn streak.

I really didn’t like Sam before. But season 4 really saved her.

I don't think you can compare tory and miguel's kiss in front of sam in season2 to sam and miguel's kiss in season 4 because sam sabotaged miguel and tory's relationship so for her to then kiss miguel in front of tory after that was a much bigger slap to the face than when tory did it in season 2 since tory wasn't a factor in miguel and sam's break up and sam was already dating robby so didn't have a valid reason to be annoyed
