2:22 true but downside is it'll get dirty very easily. They should have made the inner lining removable and washable. Such a lovely review. Thanks!

Thanks mate. Great detailed review that allows the watchers to almost feel like we are inspecting the bag ourselves physically. would you be able to release the Redux bag review sooner rather than later, as Stuart and Lau is currently doing a promo discount now, so would love to see your Redux review as it will form a key decision making information for me in choosing which one to get. Thanks Thomas! Glad you enjoyed it. I just received the Redux today. So let me examine it and take a look. I'll see what I can do about getting a review up soon BUT if i have any quick opinions on which one to pick - i'll just drop a comment with my initial thoughts.

Okay Thomas - if you can't wait for my full review - here are my initial thoughts after opening the package. The Redux - if you dont mind the smaller size - is definitely my new favorite bag. This is much more in line with the kind of gym/everyday bag I like. It wont hold as much as the Regimen though. BUT the smaller design is just so sharp and well balanced. Same amount of pockets - just smaller. But personally...I'm in love with this over the regimen...BUT this would not be a great weekender. It's feels like 40% less capacity.

Great review thanks so much! In your opinion, between this and the oak and rove, since they're almost identical in dimensions, which do you prefer overall; and which do you fee is a better gym bag vs travel bag? Much appreciated!

Hey great question. Honestly - neither this nor the Stuart and Lau are my everyday gym bags. They’re both too large and I use them more like weekenders. My PERFECT gym bag is the Stuart and Lau Redux! I’ve been using it so much I haven’t even had a chance to stop and film a full review since it’s always full of stuff.

@Desmond Wong just received the Redux and unfortunately, it is way too small for me! It can't really easily fit a change of office clothes, plus all my pickleball gear, plus a few extra things. Also once the shoes are in, it eats up a lot of thr main compartment space. the side pockets and lots of organization makes it feel more like a briefcase than a gym bag tbh. My next decision is now between the larger Regimen vs oak and rove weekender. Having difficulty deciding!

@@anthonyng8800 oh man! Sorry to hear that. Didn’t know about the pickle ball gear haha that’s a whole different factor. At least now you’ve got a feel for what the Regimen material will be like. It’s the same as the Redux. Hmm pickle ball paddles would definitely fit in both the Oak and Rove or the Regimen. The regimen - when empty collapses better - since it’s less structured. Although the handles can be a nuisance. The Oak and Roce is very well structured. And the handles fall to the sides. Another thing is that when it’s empty - it still holds its shape as if it were full. Pros and cons because it easy to pack and dig through for stuff - but it doesn’t store as easily since it’s large and structured. Might have trouble sticking it into those thin gym lockers.

@@ItsDesmond no worries! Yeah it's too small for my use case but Its super high quality, love everything else about it. The only hesitation about the regimen are the handles that tend to fall inwards. I think I'll try the oak and rove since I can also actually use as a weekender. I have way to many specific use bags already...and I won't need to stow it into a locker. Thanks , I appreciate the reply and content!

Thanks for doing this review! Do the handles get in the way of the main compartment opening because of the belt buckle accents? I noticed they don't natually fold the other way against the sides of the bag and instead they fall fall into each other which can be annoying when you're trying to pack. I am trying to compare this bag with the oak and rove and the oak and rove handles don't seem to get in the way of the opening...

Hey! Thanks for watching. So YES - because of the buckle system for the handles, the default position is kind of in the way. When I go to open the bag, I always have to spread the handles out of the way first. It definitely gets easier over time - as the leather softens. But structurally - those handles will always want to fall inwards. The Oak and Rove bag has the handles on hinges - so they do fall flat against the bag and out of the way when not in use.

Do you have any other recommendations similar to this that have a water bottle outside holder, 16” laptop sleeve, and messenger style crossbody?

Hmm thats a good one - so Stuart and Lau has the Redux gym bag. That could be a great option. Something else to consider - and only because I've tested it and reviewed it - is the Oak and Rove Weekender bag. I found them both pretty similar in features. BUT the Oak and Rove is a much bigger bag. It has a laptop compartment but expect it to be a weekender sized bag vs a gym bag size.

Hmm I dont think it does. I actually dont even see it on the website. It could have been a prototype that they included with the bag.

Hi, this is advertised as waterproof bag, but looks like the zippers are not even water resistant. Have you had experience having this bag get soaked in the rain and did you get a lot of water leakage inside? I like the look of Regimen but the waterproofing of Redux seems a lot more sensible.

For the gym - my daily is the Redux. Overall size, shape and features make it pretty perfect for a grab and go gym bag. Same rubberized bottom padding. But also never ran into issues with the Regimen or Redux in the rain. But they move quickly from destination to car or indoors. So haven’t really left it out in the rain to see.

Unfortunately - not in the Regimen. It one of the features holding this back from being my main travel duffle. But for bags like that - I use a simple strap with clip that secures it to my trolley

I have some from other bags I've received and I use this for a bunch of bags and backpacks that dont have luggage pass through or extra bags I want to secure to my carry on. I always keep a couple of these on my carry ons. Comes in handy for last minute airport shopping bags or bags without pass throughs. Hope this helps.
