Been eyeing these for so long and finally decided to pull the trigger for Black Friday. Man I’m stoked. Nicest knife I’ve ever bought, and a killer deal for the materials. Even the plain Ti is an absolute steal. 90 bucks. Crazy.

They sent me the regular size and then I purchased the plus. The mokuti is beautiful. Impossible to light in a video. Great job.

Hey Jared, Kaviso is awesome. Just got the Kaviso Penguin Plus a few weeks ago. Great value. FYI just ordered a Kaviso Kirby Lambert Raine with with copper darkmatter cf bronze anno'd s35vn satin flats with sw blade. $259 made by Reate. There are more options this time compared to the original Drop version.

I love these… but their timascus is $299!! The AS20.5 with timascus on Knife Center was $1200 when it first released. That’s the Taiwan knife with timascus for $800 more!!

thats actually a great price for mokuti, look up other knives with mokuti or timascus, this is probably the most affordable

@@NeevesKnives I totally agree!!! I was so excited to see their offering and the price. It just made me question the AD20.5 $1100 price tag for a Taiwan knife. Does mokuti cost $800 more when it is made in Taiwan than when it is made in China? I just think the AD20.5 last year at shot show missed a window for something that was so overpriced. Maybe I don’t know the whole picture but after seeing what QSP is offering, I will think twice about mokuti from any other Chinese manufacturer. Does that make sense or am I missing something?

@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives I do think depending on the company that makes it, there's different grades of quality, like timascus is an actual company and there stuff is going to be superior in colors etc.. and same with mokuti some are better or worse quality in how thick the layers are etc..

Hi Dave, glad you recognized it, that is EXACTLY what we were going for. Internally we call it the Fire Penguin, we drew inspiration from the flames of the QSP logo and obviously...a Penguin. I'm sure a lot of people overlooked it and appreciate the call out.

@@kaviso__ Haha I'm glad I wasn't seeing things, and that's very cool. I wish these pivots would fit on the standard QSP Penguins, I'd buy one. The triangle is nice and all, but these are better. Well done 👍

I guess I just dont understand. S35vn and expensive handles? Prices are decent for what your getting I guess because of the fancy handle materials. But why slack on the steel? Plus these are limited and prices in the aftermarket will sadly go up for no reason. Personally for me if I'm going to buy something premium its going to be a Reate, not a qsp budget knife with timascus handles. And why make it thick behind the edge still? For something no one will actually use, make it thinner behind the edge and people would use it for cutting tasks more often? Just a thought.

Well I think it's probably better they went with the s35vn because they can doit more consistent than a more premium steel and also keep the price right, which I do think these are prices great. Of course I'd love to see s90v but I'm not sure the heat treatment would be as consistent as s35vn
