Hey man love the channel,think you can help me out? Looking for a new knife I buy 1-2 a year last year was a griptillian and a demko BUUT I always go back to a tanto shaped knife I'm carrying a 3-4 year old Kershaw usa 1776 now but I don't think it can be sharpened too much more...I usually don't spend more than 250 on a knife...any good tanto shaped button locks out there?

Nothing from QSP has ever really piqued my interest...until the Rhino. I very much doubt I'll spring for the 'premium' version with timascus, but if they release a version with less premium materials, I'll be all over it.

Yeah I’m definitely gonna grab a Rhino, if they’re ever released. Blade Show ‘22 was months ago.. and still nothing. Hopefully soon.

Same here. QSP has been in my radar but not for long bouts of time since nothing is in the style I prefer for an EDC. The Rhino looks VERY interesting from the blade shape to the overall fit and shape and those machined jimpings.

Hey MC the Hedgehog is available in jigged titanium m390 from Traditional pocketknives (C. Risner cutlery) for $140. I'm not usually drawn to slip joints but the Hedgehog absolutely blew me away. I got the blue denim micarta 14c28n version and liked it so much I ordered the TPK exclusive version and I was not disappointed!

Those are some cool knives. I agree about the neck knife. Kinda dig the purple one, but I do hope they offer other colors. Black with the timascus accents would look amazing. The mini Penguin might be a must buy.

Ok I'd start a qsp collection from these! That rhino is super nice, the hedgehog in a blue or purple would be perfect, and the canary with an Ulti clip would be a spectacular pocket fixed blade. I now need all 3. Thanks MC for once again shoving knife crack under my nose!

Wonder if they could come up with some kinda like magnet clip kind of like in semi auto pew pews for the magazine they have the magnetic retaining clips for your spare I want to come up with something like that for that slip joint or maybe some kinda friction fit and you had to clip in your pocket and then pop it in and out with friction or some kind of magnetic actuation there

Nice collection, I've always like the Otter (aluminiumversion) and the minipenguin is really entertaining BUT I won't have ANY problems with the Hedgehog 👍👍

I just came across the Hedgehog listing on BHQ and was curious what you thought of it. I'm also curious how well QSP does with LC28N (heat treat, RC hardness, etc). I haven't carried a slipjoint in nearly 30 years but this one is interesting. QSP calls it a cleaver blade, we always called that shape a pill buster.

you’re wrong about not wanting that 11:22 much handle sticking out of your pocket because you do in fact want that much handle sticking out of your pocket and you just don’t know it yet. i really like the cjrb silax on a static cord because i can put it either in my front or back pocket and it is so awesome to have a 5” handle to grab onto. once you try then it will change your mind forever but this tiny fixed blade you could carry on a static cord and it would be down inside your pocket or you could use an ultimate clip and have that handle out and ready to grab

I love the penguin but hate the sharp mean thumbstuds and have tried to sand mine smoother. Is it just me? Such a great knife otherwise.

You seem to have a little influence with WE/Civivi. I have a knife idea for them I'd love to see and think would really sell. Start with the damascus blade of their Conspirator. Mate it with the handle/frame of their Cogent, with their glossy copper, silver, or gold, shred carbon fiber as seen on the Elementum. It can be called the COGspirator. Yes, it'd be a bit more pricey, but I'm almost drooling just thinking about it.

I think you are in the big league now, Metal_Complex. I am noticing more manufacturers are sending you more stuff to review. Getting that big box from Schrade really opened my eyes. Now those relatives who were always saying you should stop playing around with that youtubes thing and get a real job can change their tune. Money for nothing and your chicks for free... All these knives have a good point or two. Unfortunately one or two points is only okay. If they could put the best points from each knife into one really great knife, that would be cool. The copper foil scales, timascus clip and spacer, cool blade shape, best bearings, yeah. Good start, though.
