JK s schedule had been previously set before Sugas announcement. JK is extremely close to all his brothers. And he absolutely loves Suga. Everyone fully supported Suga throughout this last year as he successfully toured and fulfilled his dream as a rapper. Suga wants the same thing for all the younger members and he will fully encourage JK to do the concert. JK 100% would want to do both. I would think there would be at least a 15 hour flight one way from Seoul to NY. So far a round trip, I don’t see where he’d be able to do both. Regardless- there should not be backlash for either choice.

Only stupid people would think that JK was missing Suga's enlistment ceremony because he would want that. He loves BTS and thinks highly of the Hyungs. If he can't go, I'm sure he will suffer a lot! I think it would hurt JK not to be there but if it isn't possible, it isn't. Yoongi knows and loves JK, they would surely communicate privately. I've also read that Yoongi's bootcamp leaving date is a few weeks after he goes to office as he isn't going to the military but a civil service position, so things may work out fine. Either way, neither of them can take responsibility for the timing of things, shit happens to us all.

Suga announced after the end of his tour that he would be enlisting soon, so it comes as no surprise. (Though sad to see him go.) JK was announced for the Global Citizen concert just a few weeks ago, so they may have spoken about the conflicting dates beforehand. JK will likely miss Suga's send off as he would probably have to be there (at least) the day before to do rehearsals & sound checks. I would love to see the 7 together for all their enlistment days, but life & commitments happen. I'm sure they will say goodbye beforehand. I wish them both well, hope they both have great experiences, & return home safely🙏💜

Ok do "fans" realize that the world does not revolve around BTS and the Members? I'm sure Suga knew the date of his enlistment before the announcement. And I'm sure that if anything he would never hold it against JK for having a conflict due to work. I seriously doubt if JK would cancel this concert. People from around the U.S. and the world have already bought their concert tickets and plane tickets to New York City to see him perform! Suga would tell him to perform!!!

It's been stated that there will be no ceremony if a person enters the social work side - only for actual military (soldier) service. Big Hit asked fans not to show up, and it could be likely the members have already said their goodbyes to Suga under these circumstances.

I think JK and Yoongi can spend time together this week to make up for JK not being there on the 22nd. I do believe that if JK walked away from his obligations Yoongi would not approve and be disappointed in JK. I mean after all Yoongi did help to raise JK from a young teen to the Man he is today.

Suga is so talented he can do many things and he succeeds in everything he has done. He is my favorite rapper and I am sad to see him go into the military but I understand it is something that has to be done. I will wait for him and the other BTS members to come back in 2025. All the boys consider themselves brothers/ family so they do not hate each other and they support each other. They may have other things going on and can not be right there for them but I am sure they are sent a text or call from each other. I could see it a possibility that Jungkook will be able to wish Suga goodbye if early enough but if he can not he will probably see, text, or call Suga before he leaves for the military base. Suga had help raise him so they love each other and they all support each other.

Even if Jungkook will miss the ceremony, that should not be an issue at all. Suga is so supportive of all the members and come on... if it is possible hé, ( JK) will do it, if not.. he is a professional, like all the members. You are not skipping a concert you have promised to attend and will make many fans happy. I read in BTS news..on 22 sep nothing ceremony for suga cause suga not go to military camp but he is working in public service at 8 - 17 like employee untl 3 week n after that he go to militery camp but Big hits has not yet issued a definety date for that

I was hoping there would be a send-off of Yoongi, but I also doubted it as he wouldn't be starting his service in the normal way, since he's starting at a desk job in the military, and won't be doing his training until later (thank you Jose Ochoa's channel for explaining it lol). I really hope JK catches a red eye! Low key a little sad about the new of Suga’s enlistment..not only is he my bias but 09/22 is my birthday (and Got7’s Park Jinyoung🎉) so it will be a bittersweet gift.

As was announced by several accounts, there was no enlistment ceremony. Suga simply started working somewhere, 9-18. She will do a short military training later, but I doubt there will be an enlistment ceremony. I imagine that paraplegic, visually impaired and obese kids don't have this great desire to hold a ceremony for those who have been declared unable, even if objectively there is nothing to be ashamed of.

What’s really sad, and I’m not saying that this is the case for Suga, but sadly there are many families out there who aren’t supportive of their offspring…. until the cheques start rolling in and then “KERCHING!” all of a sudden, they’re their favourite child.

If there is a conflict with a tour date Suga would insist the first duty is to the fans. It has always been BTS first priority. They suffered so much and say they only managed to continue because of the fans. Both Jungkook and Suga performed ill because they felt such duty towards the fans. Even if Jungkook wanted to cancel which I would never believe Suga would not have approved of letting fans down.

Baring in mind in the event JK cannot make it because of a contractual obligation he is a professional. As well as Suga is it will be worked out. Suga's service will be in an office 9-5 and then home. He can probably live his life normally. He will get to see JK when he wants.

Suga goes to work in the office, he will do alternative military service, due to his shoulder injury. So I guess there won't be an enlistment ceremony, but I don't know. At 6pm Suga will leave the office and go home, every day, so what's the point of crossing the ocean to say goodbye? They can see him whenever they want.

Sometimes it is so embarrassing how immature some armies are. The world certainly don’t revolve around them! JK is headliner of Global Citizens Festival, and their slogan is to end the ppl suffering from extreme poverty. This is something BTS members would totally support, especially SUGA. Jungkook FLEW home to be with Suga, he is in South Korea now. Why are people thinking the worst of him? Jungkook went to New York , people thought he was in Los Angeles, and filmed. Jungkook is probably not going to be there live. He flew back to Korea, turned around and went to Los Angeles. My guess is IF there is an overlap, Jungkook will go out and say goodbye to him prior to leaving.

It is an unwritten rule that members gather and see the one enlisting off. Wherever they are, they hurry home for that occasion and show support for their hyung. Jungkook's preplanned schedule overlaps tightly with Suga's enlistment date, and even if Jk wouldn't be present in person, he will be in heart and thoughts. Maybe they will say their good byes privately in these couple of days left before Jk leaves, and maybe Jk even mentions and calls Suga out during this big event! I am sure there will be people who will turn this into a negative thing against Jungkook, but reasonable people know better. This is real grown up life, when you can't always be the only one making decisions, other people are envolved for a higher cause, and business rules and obligations must be respected.

I think Jungkook will do his very best to find a way to physically join Jimin, Taehyung, and RM to send Suga off well. And if there is no possible way to make that happen, he'll be sure to make another way to show Suga and the fans how much he loves him and will miss him while he's gone.💜 I'm sad and happy at the same time that Suga is starting his service, and I know it won't be long before the final four are called to duty.
