This might be the most raw song that cemented Suga as my bias. It’s so beautiful and unique. His First Love. In the live that was his actual childhood piano on stage with him.

This is the first song that got me into BTS. Back then I wasn't really interested in their music however this song pop up in my feed, and I find the title quite interesting. I clicked it without much thought, I was expecting it to be another superficial love song cause "first love" is kinda like a puppy love. But I'd never EVER expect his first love isn't a person.

Hi , to explain you his performance , that piano it’s actually the one he used ( the one that he tell in the song ). In the song the part that he left the piano aka music , he put the analogy in the lyrics like he set fire on the piano ( which you see that in a lot of MVs and even his short film referred to that analogy ). So when he process with the story in the lyrics that when he started to grew up he started to left the piano, the piano , start to get lift , and then when he said he set fire to it , you can see like the lights make the illusion that it’s on fire ( it’s actually the first time they used that kind of technology with led lights , it’s pretty cool ) but then as he saw the piano never left him, the piano end up been in the same place and suga goes towards it , like they will be together forever aka forever with music. It’s pretty good his stage , and to think that he had a said with it , just show how creative the dude is , I mean, now I’m not surprise with all the detail storytelling in his own concert that he planned. Guy really has a vision. Also the end being so far away go in hand cuz that’s about he realizing his true dreams even tho the hardships of it. In the so far away with Jin and jk he sampled the 3 of their solos of wings including first love and even at the end jk said first love ( that wasn’t in the original ) which make a full circle with this song. This song was actually suppose to be in his mixtape but since they agreed to include for the first time solos of each member in an album then he used this song. I recommend you each solos of wings they are all good , it really show some of each member.

That's exactly it. The emotion Yoongi pours in his life experience songs is overwelming, his breathing, his breathless gulps for air, he use everything in his availity to express his emotions. He always makes me cry and I love it. I feel so jealous sometimes that I had never had that long life lasting passion (till I met BTS of course).

I was three months too late finding BTS and missed out on the Wings tour. I will forever be kicking myself for not seeing it live. 😭 All of the solos on Wings were just so raw, but First Love especially makes me cry every time I hear it.

First time I heard this song,I felt its depth. I didn't know what was being said. Next time I played my cd,I decided to look up the lyrics (as I was listening to it play), then the tears just started. Every time I heard it for the next few weeks,I had to skip it,it made me so sad. I can listen to it now, I still get melancholy, but you brought back tears today seeing this 'live' I never saw before. So,thank you😊. I didn't pay attention to some of the rap lines music in the beginning. By following you,I learned to appreciate it more. I even made DDay shirts for my husband and daughter who went with me to the live stream of DDay from Japan,(in theaters). My husband even printed out every song from the concert playlist for me. One of my favorite songs by Suga, and bts by extension. His deep love for music touched my heart deeply- unfortunately I had recently experienced a traumatic event, 4 of my loved ones had their lives taken from them, and music and painting had become a safe space for me. It's at that time I found BTS and when I heard this song I cried. I just kept thinking "okay. there's somebody else who understands this feeling. I'm not completely alone, thank god" BTS helped me heal 💜

Yoongi is how I found BTS too. The way he is able to bring the emotions out while rapping is amazing. First Love is the song I listened to the most off that mixtape, the music and the lyrics really spoke to me and I love a cinematic cello. I sobbed for weeks every time I listened to it, The Last, and Dear My Friend. My interpretation - music is the core of who he is, it is to a certain extent his identity. He came to it as a child. He walked away as many of us did when he left childhood, but he went back to it as a teen when he was struggling. Music welcomed him back, it showed him unconditional love. It was there as he struggled, it never turned its back on him like his family did, his love for it was what kept him going through the pain he went through with his injury, the hate that the BTS members dealt with, the exhaustion, dancing that he didn’t want to do 😂, he could always count on music to provide solace. The music he made changed as he did, but it never let him down. He ends saying that he will never walk away from it again, that at the end, music will still be his passion and love. Yoongi is brilliant and so creative.

I weirdly think this song gets better after multiple listens if you don’t know Korean. The piano can be replaced with anything of equal meaning to the listener, an object, passion, or person. You don’t need the lyrics when you just get lost in rhythm, cadence, music and his emotional delivery.
