Yeah, saw the alien reveal coming back when they kept focusing on the log books the group was keeping on people. Sugar's fascination on the 3 million people that passed through that intersection in China. I think it's also part of how he relates events with old movies. I'm imagining a alien race whose 1st introduction to Earth are these old movies carried on television waves from 70 years ago. This as a great episode.

They did show some alien shit when he sent her to the store. If you look at that blood bag he pulls out, the blood had like little lights or colors in the blood, swimming around in it... and the bag had some alien logo on it.

Someone mentioned it before, there is still good vs. bad theme in this show. Sugar wants people to be good so he won't have to hurt them. Sugar release, the good dog from cage.

I pondered 3 options here: 1. Aliens 2. Funky, trippy government superdrug 3. Angels/Demons gone rogue I don't think they're aliens. They're angels, or demons, looking out for humans in their own way. In Ep. 3, Ruby is addressing the Societé Polyglotte and mentions "Mia even learned to make angelfood cake" followed by laughter from the audience.

Did anyone else notice that Sugar didn’t pick the lock and by the time the fight scene was over and he went back to the door; the door was broken open. As if busted through from the inside. I think Olivia escaped during the fight

Things are starting to make sense, can't get drunk, lightning fast reflexes, dodged a bullet at point blank range, became a polyglot in weeks, something was moving inside the blood bag, ability to connect with dogs.

I predicted that Sugar was an alien after episode 2. I usually don't predict shows properly, but I nailed this one!

dont know if any one mentioned this, that was not normal blood. it had something glimmery about it.

when he started turning into a alien. looking in the mirror I thought it was the drugs he was taking for the pain sending him to Lala land & that's what he was seeing so found it really strange when he said he was a alien, pretty cool movie, looks like some big shock surprises coming up in the last episode :-)

Maybe part of the Alien Observing jobs is also allowing certain things to happen or have to happen so they're not impacting humanity too much, and thus the stallings trafficking thing might be one of those things they're told not to deal with and last two episodes will be sugar fighting back against that

He still looks very human. Maybe a group of humans from the future (?) Maybe Olivia has an important role in shaping the future?

You never know where these things go. I knew there was a hidden subplot but didn’t see this until he deflected a bullet from point blank range with his hand. So far, I opt in and can’t wait to see where they take me. Colin Farrell has really become one of our great actors. The range is so underrated in my opinion but if you do a career retrospective, he has covered the waterfront

That was a good review of the episode. I was stunned to see him as an alien. I had to Google my suspicions to confirm my answer. At first I thought he was changing his identity to protect his well being.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think Ruby did anything wrong. Yes, she is his friend, but she is also his handler. She has to do her job, and she tried, as a friend (in my opinion), to tell him numerous times to back off. I imagine she wouldn't have allowed him to take the case if Grandpapa Seigel had not contacted him directly.

i actually guessed it right around episode 2 or 3 😀 i'm so proud of myself! 😁 the main clue for me was the whole thing about "we're only supposed to observe these people, we're not supposed to interfere". then the long scene about THE THING, and the fact that the doctor examining him was one of the people from their group. and Sugar's injection kit looking really weird and unearthly. i wasn't sure they'd actually do something this crazy, but i'd been hoping and suspecting it for a few episodes before the reveal. 😁

Many of my friends and me think this series is like ray donovan so we see something coming but this No! Great! WTF! I love it!

Werewolf theory wasn’t bad - repeated shots of the moon throughout the episodes, Sugar reflecting while staring up at it, repeated injections and tremors for an unknown reason, affinity for and rapport with dogs… ET reveal was a surprise! But cool!

Awesome series with a great twist, Colin Farrell is an amazing actor. This show is over my expectation after episode 6

There is also a connection I think to dogs. The one not barking dog, the dog he befriends, the dogs have something to do with him and it is a connection point. May transformed people?

Great episode--and great review by you guys. I'm with Jules about another season...I'm waiting to see how they wrap this one. They could still screw up with some dumb resolutions of the remaining mysteries, especially the Olivia and Sugar's sister's storyline. I agree with Dan, that the focus of the series has now switched from Sugar's secret & where is Olivia, to What is the Mission of the Aliens? I'll end with the WILDEST (sickest?) theory you'll ever hear: one of the project motives/powers that some of the Aliens (Ruby? Miller?) have is they can turn people (and possibly other Aliens) into...DOGS. Dogs are very important in this series, and it's not clear why. Sugar has the ability to form a connection with dogs: the dead homeless guy's dog; the two Doberman attack dogs; and the dogs in the cages in the basement. Are these dogs formerly humans? Is Olivia now the sad-eyed dog, that Sugar let out of its cage? Does Sugar know that these dogs were previously humans (Aliens), but doesn't know WHO they were as humans (Aliens). Such a twist would be a motherfu*ker !!!!

Glad I found you guys, enjoying your recaps and analyses. This episode I was like he's really good with animals. And I am still trying to figure out if he dodged or caught that bullet?! Finally what happened to the lady in the van, she didn't show up after ten minutes.

You forgot to mention the tadpoles/baby aliens swimming around in the IV bag that the doctor set in the bathroom counter as he was treating Sugar!!

I WAS SOOOOOO TAKEN BACK... I guess I watched it before many did and was alone that night... dang the bullet none got it but you guys,... I quickly subscribed!! I knew there was a sci-fi element. I figured it was time travel.

In hindsight his powers of Recovery especially from the stabbing ability to communicate with the dogs where's subtle hints even when he grabs a guy in one of the early episodes and throws him against the wall his strength is obvious

that just changed the whole show making it far more interesting I just wish there was more of that early on. I love the clips to old Films. I love that that is priceless, but I could do without all the violence and dark dark thenes eeewwww. Alien aaaaaah

In my theory, Olivia is the first hybrid, human-alien successful pregnancy. The organization is keeping her safe and trying to figure out how to replicate this success. Sugar may be the father and he would find out if he connects with her.

I think that Olivia has something to do with his sister. Like a compatability something. Djen is still alive, and they need Olivia for Djen to use or inhabit.

It's worse to spoon feed families the bad news. Dr's and Nurses do this every day. Dragging out the bad news is never helpful.

My first guess was Fringe like multiverse when I saw the typewriter. Then went to Alien shortly after. What better way for an alien to assimilate human culture than old movies

So he is a benevolent watcher angel/alien. Like how this series sheds light on different subjects/categories and brings them together like pieces of a puzzle.

I know you guys talked about Sugar being given blood, but did you notice that the blood looked like it had some like blue crystals in it or something? That’s the point in the episode where I was like, “wait is Sugar really an alien?!”. I know I mentioned Kevin saying that he thinks he is an alien before, but I was more or less joking about it. Now I have to admit that he was right about his prediction? Oh boy lol. I’m so curious to see where the “Olivia” And “Djenn” stories go in these next 2 episodes.

Prediction: Olivia is actually the cat belonging to Ruby OR she is the dog in the basement that Sugar released.

Thinking about the situation with Charlie. What if she is in on capturing and covering up of Olivia also? We saw John in the process of picking the lock and then he goes to check on Charlie and then the lock looked like it had been busted in. Was that John or did someone else, maybe Charlie, go in when John was outside and get Olivia out before John found her?

A twisty reveal in ep6... I think there will be another twist to end the series

But Ruby didn't seem like a complete villain, she did say to her boss that she didnt like the methods herself, maybe shell turn on them in the last episode and help Sugar.

I knew there was something wrong/weird with the blood Henry pulled out. It looked like there was some weird microbe in there. I actually rewound it to check it out immediately.

I thought it was cool when she was typing on that alien communication typewriter thing, and there were some symbols on that device that were similar to the symbols that were on the bag of alien blood/fluid that was in the bathroom. And Ruby’s boss was standing there with her, and it looks like they got some kind of an answer from whomever she was typing to. Also, now it’s clear that sugar (great name) wasn’t actually getting high, when he was using the drug, but rather returning home to his true form.

This has been mentioned elsewhere, but what if he’s not extraterrestrial? Clearly “alien”, but maybe not from another planet. I keep looking at the symbol on the blood bag and the polyglot invitation. It makes me think of sanskrit or maybe something Semitic. So, yeah, go down that rabbit hole…

Any idea why he got the gun if he is so very well capable of fighting? Deflecting a bullet? Killing in seconds? Why that gun? Sugar was even tempted to take the gun with him in ep 06. then he decided against it. I wonder why a gun for him got as much screen time as it did.

I have been on Aliens since ep 1 or 2. Something about it was "other" worldly. As for the dogs, consider several Mel Gibson characters. It is a similar condition, maybe a movie memory of Lethal Weapon 3 w/the rot.
