I recommend a Hazmore Silent Seat. Game changed for packing quickly amd quietly. Also look into the Third Hand Archery bow holder and stabilizer straps. These three things will transform your Summit into a wayyy better system. It will allow you to climb faster, and also climb with your bow and pack without having to pull anything up. The stabilizers eliminate the need for the green strap as well as the little bungee tether that it comes with.

Just finished watching the video and was going to recommend the silent seat as well. Its an absolute game changer for the the summit. I can also recommend Third hand Archery stabilizer straps. They strap the stand together tight for hiking in and out and tie the top and bottom together while in the tree. Makes you feel solid up ⬆️ there

I recommend the third hand archery stabilizer straps also. Best climber mod ever. I do the same thing with my backpack except I ensure it is facing up when I throw the treestand on my back Don't want to lose any gear due to a half closed backpack zipper
@tory_lovin_da_owtdoors58239 ай бұрын
Got to make sure it’s facing up. Don’t want to have to back track in the dark in the morning finding your gear. Or don’t notice you lost something until you get up the tree lol.

Question...why do you carry it upside down? If you flip your backpack straps around (the way they were intended to be attached) the tree cables are down and out of the way and not catching every limb you walk past.
@tory_lovin_da_owtdoors5823 Жыл бұрын
Well I got tired of the metal digging into my legs when entering and exiting the woods. So I flipped it to make it more comfortable walk in and out that’s all

Also I cut my trails to my trees that I pick. I scout a area decide on my tree and my walk out I limb trees and move sticks to limit all the noise I can. I understand you can’t do this on public land but I am mostly hunting private land now.

@@tory_lovin_da_owtdoors5823 I just put my Summit Goliath on my back and can't get my legs to touch anything. I must carry it higher.

I would grab a Maryland rules and regulations book. Also you would need to take the hunters education course if you have not already done so. But in that book you will of course find the rules and regulations but there are a list of public land or WMA locations. That should help you narrow down on what’s near your location and what they require to hunt.

Did you figure everything out ?
@MarvinWafflehouse914 ай бұрын
Not saying my way is the best but I’d bet money if you try my way you’d buy me a whole box of twinkies😂….i take my top and lay it down , fold the seat down towards front rail -underside of seat will face up , take platform of stand and slide them together , stand your stand up -cables and teeth on the ground, take your bungee and go over the too rails and connect to the platform-it’s easier with the old seats with metal hook, make sure bottom section of seat is folded up towards your back- the top piece of seat will be camo side to you as if on a tree, now take your strap and run it from top of the rails down between the teeth and cinch it down , take your pull up rope and wrap it around the teeth , now stand your stand back up loosen your strap up and lay your pack on the platform with the bottom resting on the v section, cinch your strap back down and your ready to go…..I’ve used this method my whole life ,running the strap vertically holds your stand and pack together a lot better …you will also have plenty of room for a Xl backpack, bibs and jacket and extra layers and even a pair of waders stacked on top 😎
