Trev gets to have a first hand look at Trekology's Aluft range of sleeping pads (UL80 and UL140) and pillows (Aluft 2.0 and Aluft Deluxe Pillow) in this budget wild camping gear review video.
**SCROLL DOWN FOR LINKS TO THE PRODUCTS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO**
You may have seen Trev from Summit or Nothing test the Trekology UL80 out on the trail already, he has been using it for several months now and has enjoyed its increased comfort - despite having to take an additional roll pad to up the R-Value. And recently been out with the Aluft 2.0 inflatable pillow, which he has also found to be an excellent product.
However, the kind folk at Trekology have recently sent Trev the UL140 sleeping pad and the Aluft Deluxe inflatable pillow to try, so here's Trev's first impressions. Will they win him over as the previous products did? Will he work out quite how to use it without Trevving it right up? You know he won't!
PLEASE NOTE - Trekology have still not confirmed the R-Value of the UL140 at this time.

Trevor Trevor .... the valve in the deluxe go’s down and your head rests on the soft luxurious velour side not the hard scrunchy storage pocket side 😂😂 aluft 2 is a great pillow look forward to your review of the deluxe next time out ... an don’t forget ‘plug down velour up!’ 😂🤣

Actually i don’t blow Aluft 2 up very hard quite soft really ... my melon head weighs a ton so when I put it on the pillow it stiffens right up (oh er!!) but still cradles my head comfortably ... it’s a great pillow been saying that for a while 👍👍

As much as I loved the comfort of ul80 it was limp by morning and anything below 5 degrees you could feel the ground cold. This new one is pretty much like a cheap inflatable mattress you can find in most home stores for less than a tenner. Love the channel mate keep the content coming all the best have a wonderful weekend. Jace.

I'm not sure why you decided the second pillow should have the side with the pocket and pump on the top and not the side with the black material on it which to me at least looks more comfortable and it looks as if that would be the intended right side up. Am I missing something? Thanks for a good video. 😃👍 Surely it can

You do something quite a bit different than some of the other popular wild campers, you actually acknowledge that you’ve received products from camping suppliers. Prospective buyers are at least then in the know between genuine buys and “adverts”. I wish all KZfaqrs would be more honest and follow your example. Thanks Trev/Nath.

That was like comedy central for part one of inflating the UL 140. Fair play to you for keeping the footage in. However freebies or not that was an honest review. getting that thing back in the bag has defeated most people based on reviews. I'll make a prediction. UL140 Mark 2 will ditch the pump and if they're even sharper will keep the pillow and bed integrated but provide separate valves for both.

I have been using the UL80 for 4 years, great mat and have the compatible pillow and air pump bag by Trekology, can't say anything bad about it perfect for 2 to 3 seasons, due to its R value, if the UL140 is a better R value I may consider it but when it weighs more than my tent not so sure, thanks for the vid

I got the 140 a few weeks ago - best pad I’ve ever had. Inflating is really easy - either a mini battery pump or kneeling using your hands with the built in one (2 minutes). Deflating and bagging simple - just get the air out of the built-in pump bit then fold the sides to make a shape the same size and roll up tight. It easily fits in the bag that way, no problem at all.

I quite enjoy my ul80 and pillow, ideal for summer use as I don’t think it has a r rating. Buying another ul80 for my daughter’s birthday and I was lucky enough to win the pillow for her 😆. The new ul140 looks like a brute of a mat next to the 80, very comfy if that does have that r rating that would be fabulous, I don’t have a winter mat yet 🤔. Great video Trev cheers ✌️

Trev, many of us have seen this UL140 already. The consensus is that we would like a version with no internal pump to save weight and use an external pump sack as we all do. If they do that, I would buy one, especially if the R-rating is 4 season. Thanks mate. Trekology can sell the 140 with a pump sack as a kit if they are worried about customer complaints that it's too big to inflate by breathe. Or sell 2 types and give us the option. I’m 183cm 6 foot and found the Cloud up 3 kinda short in length with my heard nearly all the way up my feet in the sleeping bag are touching the other end... anyone else find that? No way is it a three man tent! Maybe a small dog but if you’re got two motorcycle jackets and trousers (helmets were in top box) down the sides it was tight. The sides are angled inwards so you’ve got to sleep in the middle with gear on the sides. It is good for 2 but 3 would only happen if they’re kids. All they needed to do with the UL140 was make it wider than the UL80 no need for the extra thickness and built in pump. People use pump sacks or little electric pumps. I’m pretty sure the pillow goes other way round like with the Naturehike pillow with cover.

my Aluft 2.0, UL80 and Yizi arrived today - initial thoughts are, "Jeez, why did I wait so long" ???.. EDIT: the roll mat is to prevent punctures - so just take a foil-lined rollmat ?..

Trev, get yourself a Flexitrail Tiny Pump X, they only weigh 80 grams and double as a tent light. I'll never faff about with pump sacks, integrated foam pumps etc and the like ever again!

Yea i could find it on amazon but couldn't link it. If you go in through the ul80 link and then search ul140 you should find it.

@@SummitOrNothing If you search by the ASIN (Amazon's unique identifier for products) it works. The ASIN for the UL140 is B08NH7Y5VL so the weblink will be www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08NH7Y5VL , i.e. put the ASIN at the end! Nice vid btw Trev!

If Trekology get rid of the useless pump, options with/without pillow and lightened it a bit, it would be perfect.

I myst say that my initial thoughts was that it must be the wrong way around, but the material the other side didn't seem as soft. Why not use the same material both sides? Also, holding it to the other one, the shape suggests that this is the comfy side too.
