New Orleans style oriental soup made with your choice of meat, seasoned broth, and noodles. Historically referred to as " Old Sober" because it was often consumed after a night of reveling and heavy drinking and believed to help cure a hangover.

beef broth and soy but more soy sauce and less beef broth always make sure your soup have plenty of juice. And I only use salt when I boil my meat and get my salt after that from the soy. And plenty of green onion to garnish. Enjoy!

Hi, I make this all the time. Try cooking the noodles in the broth. But don't over crowd the soup with the noodles(spaghetti). This way you won't need so much seasoning to give you the flavor that you are looking for. And you will use and need less soy sauce. And yes I am from New Orleans, and graduated from 35 class of 80. The Roneagles!

This is my first time seeing your videos. I grew up in Bridge City and my mom and stepfather would go to Sams restaurant to get YaKaMein after a night on the town. My mom didn't drink but my stepfather had enough for them both. They swore by it. I never had it until about 10 years ago. Your recipe is simpler than mine but terrific. The presentation is excellent. I will use your recipe from now on. I usually boil the meat with fresh onion, garlic and other fresh seasonings. Keep the recipes comming.
