We recently had a wood burning, high efficiency, zero clearance fireplace installed. It’s a 42” Apex model made my fireplace xtrordinair. I’ll show some details about it from features to installation.

That is really nice fireplace. The stone work looks great Jacob. I did a lot of research on wood stoves before I bought what I got and I gotta say, I don't think you can beat these new wood burners. Boilers, fireplace inserts, wood stoves; the efficiency and burn times are amazing on this new stuff. Thanks for sharing this, I very much enjoyed getting to see it. Take care my friend.

Glad you liked it man, I sure appreciate your support and kind words. It is very efficient, it advertises 10-12 hr burn times. I’ve gotten 8 hrs out of it already and it hasn’t been really cold enough for me to really load the box up. Looking forward to seeing your video on your Vermont castings stove! That's a great looking and efficient fireplace Jacob. I have gas logs in my home now and would love to go to a wood burning fireplace . I will check them out. I'm thinking the chimney would be a major cost

I use a Regency firewood 🪵 fireplace. My was all fire 🔥 brick🧱 from floor to out side of the roof. My house is all western cedar 😊. Jacob it should give good heat for you and family. I just take cloth with water clean the glass went it cool buddy. No problem but don’t do it went the glass is hot 🥵. You will make a mess . Just warm or cool buddy . I get 10 year on the heat fan , but my run from October end of April . Every day burn about 4 to 4 1/2 full cords . Get a little tote box blue at Walmart ect for your firewood 🪵, cut down on mess with firewood 🪵 stay in little blue tote .😊

Great looking set up. I love knowing my house won’t freeze in case something goes sideways. On another note I build aftermarket rails for the Supersplit so you can lubricate the cam followers. I built them for the HD and don’t know if they fit on the J model. I’d like to send you a pair for you to try. Thanks.

Hi Jacob. Very nice fireplace. We have Lopi fireplace insert that was installed in 2014. We’re in Northern Minnesota so we burn wood on and off to June at night. One thing you mentioned was when your stack temp reaches like 700- 1000 degrees does your unit automatically damper back or is that set by the homeowner. Hard to believe our unit is 10 years old already. Our unit will heat our home down to about 0 degrees . We still need additional heat once we go below 0. I love you nick named Del finger 🪃.
