This was done 3 years ago and Lazy Daze has sadly closed their doors. I was looking forward to going to see them. I am currently buying a used one and love them! Everything I’ve learned about them and the way they are built, is just outstanding. So sad they are gone!

I like how Lazy Daze didn't sully their interior with a Television. Makes this old RV much more appealing not having a giant CRT TV in a big silly cabinet that isn't useful for much else. It's been very well kept by the previous owner.

Something that was lost was that overhead bunk windshield. Some of my favourite RV memories was camping with my grandparents, and them letting me have that bunk since they couldnt climb up. It didn't feel like a coffin because it had max windows. I get the front caps have a tendency to leak but man I hope that comes back one day.

We have the same model same year just a different color. We renovated ours and I was amazed at the quality construction of these units. Just as an example the cloth material of that head knocker you mentioned has well over 100 staples holding it to the wood, then the wood itself had 5-6 screws holding it to cabinet.

Hi Josh. Well...I did get a trailer ordered with one of our local RV dealers here in CO. However, I would say, this model is an absolute awesome example of a basic, used, functional choice! It would fall in the category of those trips that my wife wasn't going with me; it was just me and the dog. We could go off road on the moderate dirt roads and boondock out in the woods without fear of breaking something; and have a grand time! Or, we could go to a commercial campground close to one of my favorite hiking or fishing areas. And since it is Cinco De Mayo.....and many folks are vaccinated, this would be a great floorplan to bring the fireside festivities inside after the sun goes down and the temps drop significantly. The only real objection I have to his rig is that it doesn't have the dedicated bed. But then again, the wife wouldn't be with, in the first place, anyways hehehe Have a great rest of your week!

@@JoshtheRVNerd That is awesome. It reminds me of my first travel trailer; a 1967 Roadrunner 17ft. I LOVED that trailer! It was back when they constructed cabinetry with hardwood. The downside-- there are probably not too many modern 17foot trailers that are close to 5000lbs empty hehehe Yes...this one looks nice! I'm with you on those restriction things. Bleh. Our rig should arrive in July. I will mostly be doing boondocking out in the national forest and on BLM lands; so no age restrictions there!!! On that 1967 trailer I had....we had it for a couple of weeks and got a torrential rain in Colorado Springs (second most active lightning area in the country). Afterwards, I noticed some water leaking inside the windows and on the wall. I put coat of that rubbery silver "paint" on the roof and the trailer was just outstanding for years and years! Somebody would walk in and pay cash for your rig here, put a couple hundred bucks into freshening up the roof sealants......and just camp away!

I will have to refer you to the staff members on site. This is so old I was unable to locate spec listings. From here “about 30ft” is what I can estimate This is being sold on consignment so we do not go thru everything before hand. Josh, I’ve seen you critique the condition of over 100 RV roofs, so I was a little surprised that you had no comment on this roof which seemed to have so many visible cracks in the sealant that it should require a total resealing of the roof? I also love older motor homes, but it’s really tough to get an understanding of the condition of any RV when you’re not told what works and what doesn’t? As is never inspires confidence in anything that is up for sale?
@JoshtheRVNerd
@JoshtheRVNerd 3 жыл бұрын
I understand not being able to guarantee the working order of the RV when I am thru it is not confidence inspiring But it is also valuable information for potential owners to have when deciding how to approach a potential purchase. That’s why I explain what’s been done, what we know, and what hasn’t been done and what we don’t know It’s important to remember we do not own the RVs listed on consignment in the way a real estate agency doesn’t own the houses they offer. We are simply your guides in this case and can facilitate anything either party needs - including inspections
