agreed in many cases like "the Chelsea Barrel" jokes from the last 2 episodes it's almost impossible to even pause the video in time to catch them. I had to go back set the speed to .25 speed and even then had to try several times to catch it.

I love this channel, you both do such a great job. My thought is that this is a wealthy dentist and he took the boat to the marina where he rented it, then either flew his private airplane back to the airport near his home. He may also have used a charter plane or a commercial flight. So the costs could be much higher. The fact that he spent so much on a fish is not important, it’s something he did himself, an adventure. Which would be no different than any of us paying big $$$$ to take a cruise and come home with a sea shell we found on the beach. The money was not really spent on the shell, but for the adventure. The shell is a trophy from the trip as was Nemo. Great channel guys, well done!

I never got the impression that he was there looking for fish. I always thought he believed Nemo was injured and couldn't survive in the wild. He refers to it as a rescue. As I stated in my other post, I seriously doubt he'd use that small boat for the whole trip, for the reasons stated in the video to prove how long it would take. More likely, he was already there for scuba diving, it happened to be his last day, "rescued" Nemo, and returned home by car or plane. The real question is how would Nemo be unconscious for this whole period? The real truth, of course, is the people at Pixar didn't know/care about the actual geography and chose the most famous city and reef.

That's a lot of math hahaha Should we also factor in the opportunity cost of a dentist missing two days of work? and possibly legal fees for medical malpractice for operating in such a sleep deprived state? That could easily add up to $10,000 or more.

As a boating enthusiast I have noticed that in your fuel calculations you used car fuel. But boats use marine fuel which at that place and at that time would cost around $6:50-$7:00 which would skyrocket the fuel cost. Other than that great video.👍

Chris Jay He couldn’t have. You can’t fly and dive within 24 hours of the each other. Decompression issues happen. Not sure if it’s life threatening, but it sucks from what I understand.

Hey, there's an easy fix to this theory. He RENTED the boat. Cairns and Brisbane are both port cities on the GBR with airports. Most likely his was scuba diving off Cairns. And he didn't spend ANY money on Nemo. The trip was for scuba diving the GBR and catching a clown fish was incidental. He would probably need a permit to fly home with a fish in a bag, but that's it, and probably not terribly hard to get or work around.

I didn't purchase because I was younger but my parents bought me my dance out fits which have to be custom made from AT LEAST 3 yards of wool fabric, the pattern I had chosen was discontinued and so we had to spend time finding a place that carried it (Ended up being in Scotland, and i'm in Canada) Then we had to find someone to make it and the rest of my outfit which consisted of a long-sleeved form fitted jacket made of velvet. All in all my outfit cost at least $1,000 and that is about the average price for one outfit (excluding the shoes I already had $80-100 depending on size) let alone the 3 other outfits that are mandatory for the type of dance I do! Its Highland dance if anyone was wondering.

This surprisingly became one of my favorite videos of yours and that’s saying something too because I love all of them♥️ My stomach literally hurts from laughing so much during your video😂 This video had the best references / quotes ever, also saying something for your videos. arowana are freshwater fish.also the worlds most expensive fish was a koi that went for 1.8 million/1,800,000

The whole thing falls apart when you consider that the dentist probably just boated back to shore and drove home. Also, he didn't make the trip specifically to get Nemo. He tells his patient/victim that he found Nemo on the reef and thought he wouldn't survive with his messed up fin so he rescued him. The dentist went on a dive trip and grabbed a fish. The dive trip was the objective and $1000 is not bad to dive the Great Barrier Reef. To drive this home, he's content to give Nemo away as a present.

Obviously, P. Sherman(42 Wallaby Way, Sydney) did not take that boat all the way from the reef to Sydney. He went back to shore somewhere close to the reef, and probably took a plane to get home. The real question is: how did he manage to get Nemo through security?

I spent quite alot on dance. I've been dancing since I was 3 (I'm 12 now) and I've done classes, shows, competions, had to buy costumes, leotards, alot of shoes including pointe shoes, and tights. Not to mention the things I buy to stretch.
