I think those are e34 m5 wheels and I've never seen them on an e39 but it looks perfect also I don't like those wheels on the ls430 and I still haven't seen any that I like more than the stock chrome 5 spokes I have on mine

Putting the Lexus transmission switch in power mode holds the revs all the way to redline, snow mode short shifts and starts in second.

Not anymore. Power mode is for dyno to hold a gear now with the tuned ECU

Just a great example of showing how two different platforms can be modified into fun, quick and exciting cars. In particular, great delivery in the co-branding with Continental, which I’m already a huge fan of running them on my Porsches and Audi. Tip of the hat to the Dinan Sports exhaust!

I think the best strategy for the Lexus when racing from a standing start would be to race until 3rd gear, then back off just before the M5 inevitably passes and yell "loser flyby" 😅

I’d take it the Flexus to avoid all the headaches. Love the wagon but it is way too high maintenance and fussy.

Damn! That was a good watch, great to see both the builds let loose on the tarmac! Naturally team Flexus for me, but hearing that M5 pull on the drag/roll races..... MMMH! The more I look at the Wagon, the more I say to myself, PT you really had a good inspiration with the throwing stars. As for the Lexus, that classic Toyota oem look matched to the vip subtle touches, very complementary. Nice work from you guys 👍

Great race, it’s no surprise that autos have smoother take offs, v8 with a clutch needs plenty of practice to get it without spinning its head off.. slushboxes roll right into that gear with ease

Local fan also with an M5. Careful with the wheel hop! Check your diff and subframe bushings. Front diff mounts are prone to failure and break off the subframe.

I'm a die hard E39 BMW fanatic and always prefer OEM but those wheels and blackout grill simply look better on Wagon rather than OEM ones. Great job guys! I enjoyed the whole series! Pete, relax man, you were strung high, lol. Both of you did awesome job with these builds!
