That's a nice trailer! I have a 2007 Big Tex 30sa, I think it's a 5x8, I bought it to haul my motorcycle (only model they had available at my local dealer and I needed that weekend....so. I recently replaced the decking. Love it, but I wish it had the high sides like yours. I was able to get 3 yards of mulch in it once....HEAVY!..lol. Best of luck with the moving stuff!

Hey friend. I was going to send you the link to this as I thought you'd be interested in this trailer as well.... I looked up that Big Tex you just said... nice. Love me a good trailer! I don't understand why there aren't more high-sides trailers? I debated going with this or the wooden sides and figured, I'd probably be easier to maintain these steel sides. Seems like there's a shortage of trailers nowadays!

@@hamradiocq Yeah, I think that the guys was right, demand is the same, but production is very, very slow, if at all. I love my trailer and use it to haul stuff all the time, limbs and other things that need to go to the dump, etc. I've helped friends move with it, loaned it to them. I did make some removable sides out of plywood once and it worked great for hauling yard waste. Yours has a great design for moving, easy to use a tarp and use that top rail as a tie off point..love it.

@@Ron_C Interesting. Yeah, I love a good tool like this, it's like a super power. What do you think about traveling with stuff in the rain? Is it possible to keep it dry with a tarp or is that an impossible task?

@@hamradiocq Very possible, but, there is always a but....you would need the tarp to overlap all 4 sides. They also make a bungee net, looks like a spider web, that would be good as well to keep the tarp from filling with air like a balloon and keep the tarp/cover tidy amzn.to/2z1FyKG I am sure there are better ones than this, but you get the idea.

Nice trailer. We had to rent two big trucks to keep our moving costs down, and we only moved about 100 miles. That is the type of trailer that people use for a lawn mowing business. If your job ever falls through.....

Yeah, I been watching trailer videos on YTube and most of them are the mower guys... which is something I also will be moving with it. I got the high walls so boxes would stay in better.

I just bought a 6x12 trailer about 2 months ago the boards look like yours I put Thompson's advanced water seal on them. But that is one nice trailer.

If you haven't driven a trailer before, take the backing up slow. There's a bit of a learning curve. We took out the back left tail light out on a Honda vcd an just like yours Jack knifing it.

I backed it into our steep driveway last night with the help of wife and kid, took me 15 minutes. It's bizarre experience...and I don't like it.

Looking at a 6x10 but was thinking wood sides instead of the metal. How do you like it after some time with it? Any features you would have got in hindsight?

I think this trailer has suited me very well. I recently used it to carry brush and logs that we cut out of the trees in the front yard. Saved us tons of work as I just drove it to the dump instead of walking itt all.

The sealant between the Fender and Body is probably to keep out small rocks. Jeep has a problem in that area because the fender is separate from the body. Placing weather stripping solved that.

That’s odd. My pre watching guess would be spring cleaning and yard work. Second guess would be trailer supply making chain has a bottleneck ish of a lack of supplies.

You're probably right, more people doing yard work stuff, I know Lowes is PACKED when I go now. Also, for sure manufacturing has slowed.

Good luck on your move. Since you never had a trailer before, Word of advice, Pay attention to loading and tongue weight! Improper weight distribution WILL cause an oscillation and can lead to flipping your trailer or vehicle. Anti sway hitches help a lot, but I didn't see one installed. www.eyershitch.com/trailer-weight.html

Actually, if I didn’t live in the middle of nowhere I would have GPS on that trailer. They are cheap enough, and only needs a data SIM card from your carrier.
