@@theaviator06 Usually the tires make all the difference. Raptor is equipped with KO2s stock, so maybe it was the tires. Unless you tested all of the trucks with the same tires, it's not an apple to apple comparison. Although the Raptor is a great truck, maybe you just overpaid for how it felt in the snow without taking into consideration the stock tires usually they come with.

Didn’t take it off road, but I did test drive it and it rode very smooth, I was impressed with the suspension feel daily driving, and the fit and finish of everything throughout the truck was very nice. @@dr._breens_beard I for one cannot eliminate a truck because of its crash test rating. You can die in any vehicle, even a Subaru. Sure, you're probably more protected but that doesn't guarantee your survival. It's just another selling gimmick for Manufacturers to use to sell their cars.

@@born2win259 thats your right but dying is the least of your worries in a crash. most vehicles wont kill u unless at extreme speed or against a very large vehicle like a semi. its the crippling of your body that can make u wish u had died in a crash. not because of pain, but because in the united states, even with great insurance, not being independently wealthy means all it takes is the inability to work to put you in the poor house and your family in the poor house for generations. the tundra in a front overlap crash test pretty much showed that a human will have their legs crushed, which means surgery and years of physical therapy to get even close to how your body was pre accident. if thats a gamble you're willing to take more power to you but just know my 06 grand marquis has a significantly higher rating than that in the same test which is pretty sad given the stellar crash ratings the rest of the toyota lineup has.

MPG in Tacoma and Tundra is pretty poor by comparison, Toyota desperately needs 8+ gears in the transmission. I’m not surprised. The Tundra has been an amazing truck for me. Never had any problems with one. Reliable, comfortable & the when you need the power, it’s there. Not a knock on any other manufacturers, but I’d never buy any other brand. The price range on a new truck is ridiculous on all brands. I found that the best way to go when buying a used truck is to avoid buying one at a dealer. Where I live, we have one of those truck ‘mega dealers’ that absolutely gouge the customers with over inflated prices. Their lots are always full, mostly selling used Dodge, Ford, & Chevy. It’s not often you’ll find a Toyota on the lot, (probably because they last forever), which says something about their longevity, IMO. Before buying from a dealer I’d suggest hunting down a used truck online or wherever, you’ll save thousands of dollars & you won’t have to deal with an insane markup or crooked dealers looking to jack your wallet. There’s not a lot of honesty at those ‘mega dealer’ places.

Do I give a rats ass about gas mileage, not at all. I did not buy the Tundra for good gas mileage. It's an old platform and Toyota knows that it works. Why do I need a 700HP RAM TRX or a Ford Raptor to go do grocery shopping. I wonder how many recalls have already be announced for the TRX. I stay away from unreliable domestic cars & trucks. You never mentioned the Tundra's real world mpg. I thought I saw a TFL video where you guys got 18mpg. That's better than the Ram and without that electric motor gimmick attached to the serpentine belt drive.

if they got 18mpg, they had to drive it only downhill. I had one 07-11 at best I was getting 13mpg
