I've searched for THE 1970 Mach 1 mustang my parents went on their first date in for almost 15 years. We had the paint restored back to the original colors and surprised my parents with it on Christmas day of 2019.

You can tell this car wasn't just some showcase pimp drive for him. It meant something to him and he remembers everything about it down to the engine bay. That's why he went straight for the hood and that's why he's old school. Guys back in the day weren't showing off, they truly knew everything about the car they drove.

In 1973 after saving every penny I earned working for YEARS (starting at about age 13) I purchased my first car with help from my father. It was a 1970 Mach 1 almost identical this car. The only difference was my car had white interior and did not have the shaker hood. Other than that the car looked identical including the color, wheels and window slats without the rear spoiler. I wrecked the car about 3 years later. I am now 64 and still think about that car a lot. It is cool that you were able to revive your parents memories. You are awesome kids! 👏

That is so cool! I don't think you can post pictures here, but I'd lovet o see that one. I bet it was a stunner with the white interior.

Yeah I loved that white “comfort weave” interior. Let me see if I can find the one picture I had. The one photo I had was taken after I removed the stock wheels and put on the obligatory Ansen mags. If I find it maybe you could provide me with an email address?

Truly the prodigal son ! In my comments on the last video I stated the My Life channel car has manual brakes where in fact they were power disc ! My bad. I knew in my early years of 2 Mustangs I had the pleasure to chum around with. Both were GT's a 67 with a 351 t10 and a 68 with a 390 auto. But it was the Mach 1 that always fired my imagination. Eat your heart out Steve McQueen. Nice touch for a Mum & Dad ! Well done. Cheers.

My first car in 1976 was a 70 Mach 1 in that same green exterior and interior. It was a 351C 2bl so it had the fake hood scoop, not a shaker. It had those same styled steel wheels, which were cool. Thanks for the memories. Best looking Mustang Ford ever made.
