Nami, I am delighted to see you back on the screen. This is the format I remember from long ago and the one that made me subscribe! I have cooked your recipes more times than is possible to count, for myself, family and friends. In this way, you have brought japanese food into the lives of people who would otherwise have never experienced it. Thank you.

I made this just tonight, it was even more tender and juicy than when I fry it. It took a little bit longer since I'm not used to toasting panko bread crumbs so I had to adjust my timing and everything but put over some rice with the homemade tonkatsu sauce you have was amazing. The only thing I did different was season the flour and then added a tiny splash (not even a full half tablespoon) of Worcestershire sauce and a small splash of apple cider vinegar to the egg and oil mix. Apple cider vinegar goes really well with pork dishes, those three little changes aside this is one of the best tonkatsu dishes I've made in a long while and it's really low in oil so it's much better for me than frying it like I normally do, I'll have to do it more often.

I made this recipe about 3 weeks ago and it was a hit! Crispy and delicious and no hard clean up. The prep time took longer since it was my first time and I need to re-read a recipe about 20x before and during the actual cooking process so I can feel that I am doing it correctly. I loved this recipe and have confidence that I can make it a regular meal for my family. Thanks so much!

I had the same issue of it taking longer than just a simple fried one but it's cause I've never toasted breadcrumbs before so I had to figure out the timing for my stove's temps, after that though it was the best tonkatsu I've made...even better than when I fry it so I can see why it would be a hit with others.

I don't often eat pork because its on my "for treats only" list for my from my doctor's reccomended diet but this looks so lean and healthy and the lovely cabbage salad and crisp coating on the Tonkatsu that I actually want to skip my usual treats to try this recipe :)

Thank you! I'm a bit wary of deep frying so far. I had two questions. 1. How would things turned out if we used an air fryer. 2. Could we follow this process for chicken katsu and change the cooking time accordingly? EDIT: Nevermind saw the air fryer comment

Do you remember my kids' voice saying "Itadakimasu" at the end of the video? She was 5 year old back then! Take good care!
