Lyrics:
There you stood, that'll teach her
To look so good and feel so right
Let me tell you about
The girl I met last night
It's understood, I had to reach her
I let the wheel of fortune spin
I touched your hand before
The crowd started crashin' in
Now I'm higher than a kite
I know I'm getting hooked on your love
Talkin' to myself, runnin' in the heat
Beggin' for your touch
In the middle of the street
And I, I can't stop thinkin' about you, girl
I must be livin' in a fantasy world
I'm so high on you

I’m a child of the 80s (born in ‘75) and downloaded “Vital Signs” from iTunes a few weeks ago to relive my youth. Survivor, anchored by Jimi’s vocals, are one of the reasons that made that decade awesome. I never saw the video until now-an excellent clip and track which stands the test of time. Thank you for capturing an amazing and fun era with your gift and the talent and dedication of all involved. Above all, thanks for sharing... Cheers!

@keithchristopher4516 Then you should watch the live video for "Everlasting " Survivor was so underrated! I miss the 80s so much, but I guess every generation believes their's was the best, and to them, it probably was. The 80s were just so iconic with music, and nearly everything in my playlist is all 80s. Jimi Jameson was a legend! He never missed a note. Absolutely, perfect pitch, and oh, so easy on the eyes!😂

that was the point of recording in the 80s. As soon as that motive was lost it was over. It was intentionally tweaked into a cultural blight so it could be weaponized into a political weapon which is all entertainment is. It highlights the small minds that lurk in shadows.

@rustyking8783 -- Totally agree --- check out "Man Against the World", if you haven't already, that one really showcases Jimi's beautiful voice, & amazing range.... also, look for an interview with him here on YT, I think it's called "Music Legends", a series of about 12 short videos, you can pick any of them -- it's so wild to hear his speaking voice, I never in a million years would have thought the guy in the interview & the guy singing, were the same person -- his normal voice was just that, "normal", with a soft Southern drawl (he was from Memphis). Just bizarre, but in a good way, if that makes sense.

Now, at 59, I have the perfect wife, great job and nice home, but I miss my youth. I wouldn’t change a thing though! I’m very lucky to be where I am today!! I think for Survivor, Jim Peterik wrote most of the lyrics. He has mentioned in the past that his lyrics were a bit "purple prose". Sometimes Frankie Sullivan would suggest a lyric change that it would make it less so. With the Peterik co-written songs by other groups and singers I don't necessarily know what lyrics he wrote/co-wrote. Though, a .38 Special fan did say that .38 Special members tended to write the music and Peterik the lyrics in the songs that they co-wrote together.

great group. Im 68, Im still stuck in the 60's & early 70's music,I like a lot of 80's too, lots of groups from the 60's & 70's are popular in the 80's, David Coverdale, used to sing lead vocals in Deep purple in the early 70's, Mellencamp, REO speedwagon, many others. they said in the 60's Rock & Roll will never die, listening to todays music sometimes I feel it was a lie, but I have over 500 of the ol songs from my past on a USB stick🤗

One of my all-time favorite songs! Always brings me back to my teenage years and that feeling of meeting a girl for the first time! There will never be a other decade like the 80's and the joy these songs gave us!

Fred Flintstone go listen to Steve Perry’s live performance of “Mother Father” from Live in Houston or “Girl Can’t Help It”. Steve Perry is the best rock singer in history in my opinion.
