Having conveyor belt sushi at one of most popular sushi chain restaurant.
The prices are not very expensive and the food quality is fresh and good with a convenient ordering system.

In most asian places, it's not really about the "family experience" but rather getting customers out quick as possible and getting new ones in.
@astradotcom
@astradotcom 4 жыл бұрын
That's because it's more about just eating and leaving again than having a nice evening out with the family! A lot of japanese restaurants are like that actually, iirc it's to shorten lines outside the restaurant because no one likes to wait, right? And also a lot of people don't really have the time to wait around. I think the best place to go to just hang out with friends is an Izakaya.

I'd like to see some restaurants try this method of ordering and delivery for other kinds of food. Seems like this would work well for any short order menu items. Small portions of anything that can be prepared quickly and selected a la carte, item by item, to create a full meal over time like this. :) And from a business and profitability standpoint, I wouldn't be surprised if people tend to order more over time when they order this way, rather than selecting a single pre-arranged meal or set.

In lima, Peru there is a thing called an open bar in sushi restaurants, where you can eat ice cream, makis, drinks and entrees like yakimeshi or wings, all unlimited with no time limit of 50 soles, an equivalent of 15 dollars more or less, the most expensive i know

there is nothing special below. also to help you understand. some restaurant in japan ( same system in this restaurant basically, as its japan based) doesnt count the food (for that you use the top track) , on the bottom track, they count the number of dishes. all dishes at the bottom are same price and plates are differents colors/sizes than the one from the top. so when they come to check out, they can see how many plates you have taked from below easily. also peoples in theses countries arent thief, soo they never pick up plates, eat the content , then put the plates back in the tracks. XD
@wanqitee4776
@wanqitee4776 3 жыл бұрын
Usually for conveyor belt sushi they have different coloured plates and the staff will count the plates when you finish your meal. But for this video, sushiro is a big chain conveyor and they have plates tagged with RFID so the staff can wave a machine over your finished plates and detect how much was your meal. It's all really quick and efficient.

a 2 piece Salmon nigiri costs 6 dollars US in Tucson, Arizona. We have a average household earning of 35,000 k a year. Does this seem overpriced to you, when Dancing can get the same product for 2 dollars while still living in a thriving economy? I feel that the whole ,"America is great" ideal is losing steam.....
@kaelmyers4592
@kaelmyers4592 4 жыл бұрын
this is because that kind of salmon is harder to get in America then Japan. in America's "defense" are fruit and vegetables is rather inexpensive while in Japan can cost a whole lot more. for instance , $5.00 for a bag of 12 apples in America and $5.00 for maybe 3 apples in Japan.
@SlightlierGravy
@SlightlierGravy 4 жыл бұрын
@@kaelmyers4592 There are several different reasons for why Japanese fruit is expensive but it's not because they are incapable of mass producing fruit in the way America does. The biggest reason imo is that culturally Japan sees fruit as a luxury item or gift. To that end, fruit sold by farmers to resellers must meet government standards (much stricter than what the USDA enforces). That alone encourages small scale production with large labor and input costs. Now I'm pretty skeptical that these fruits would be that much better, if at all, than the American versions. But if we wanted fruit made in the same manner as Japan it would be just as expensive.
