Another entertaining video! I got a video suggesting that will probably get big hits. I would like to see some rigging videos. Especially transducer placement/ tips on a tin-rig like a Lowe Stinger' , Ranger Rt188, or Express X. I see A LOT of posts of people trying to get a good picture (if it is even possible on this style boat) Keep the videos coming!!!!! P.S. Yes I know Andy cringes when it comes to tin can rigs, LOL

I got a completely unrelated question for you Andy my tin rig is a 16ft 1997 duracraft crappie boat and it’s really light I’ve got a 50hp Yamaha on it and it won’t run over 30mph. Is that normal or do I need to make some modifications to it to reach max speed?

@@teammarinetv7326 yeah that’s what I was thinking it just is so slow compared to my glass boat. I want a bigger tin rig but I’m only 15 and I don’t think my parents would want to buy me another bass boat since I already have 2. 😂

You got the stick or the steering one. My 15th boat and my favorite was a 1995 Duracraft 16ft steering with 50 Yamaha. I got one of the last boats made in Delhi, LA. I bought it in 1995 on the Saturday after my college graduation from Clays boats and motors in New Iberia, LA. Clay sold a lot of Duracraft’s during the 1990’s. I gave it to my nephew and it would run 30 to 35 on a good day light wind no tide. Had a stainless prop and tweaked by a prop guy near my house. What sold me on the boat was you could do a circle and you elbows would get wet. Boat was hard to flip Similar to the champion glass bit which was popular during the 1990’s. It was a great Atchafalya spillway boat running oilfield canals for bass and marsh for redfish , flounder, marsh bass, and speckled trout.

Only issue my friends and I have with zukes is the corrosion in saltwater. I fish inshore 90% of the time living in South Louisiana. Yes, the marshes which are full of muck, mud, and brackish water. I bought two zukes 140 and 90 hp. Right at the end 6 year warranty the motors were corroded up. Everything else was great on the zukes except the lack resistance to corrosion. Went back to Yamaha in 2019 pre Covid and so far so good. I have friends that are fishing guides in Venice, LA; still running Yamaha’s from 1999 minimum corrosion issues. I like zukes but the corrosion issues made me jump to Yamaha.
