Danmaku Express Thanks. It's also worthy to note that only two humans made it to the cliff area, and both supposedly died there. Undyne would need to kill them there, since no other monster would be able to. Just a little reinforcement to the theory.

It's very likely that she killed the other humans too quickly for them to show how determined they were, which gives that sentence the meaning of "Oh, now I get it," as in she realizes then. As to the eye thing... I';ve heard theories that Sans' eye is one of two, the other one being orange and possessed by Papyrus, despite not really being shown. I speculate that they originate from Gaster(Who I think is their father; I can explain this if you'd like) when he was erased. The universe tried to fix itself after a vital person was erased, and that's the result. The spear in Undyne's eye is probably a result of her innate determination. She shows no signs of realization of Alphys' experiments, as during the neutral run, if you do not kill anyone Undyne mentions in the phone call that Alphys "Seems worried about something," referring to the experiments. She seems completely oblivious to the experiments. I personally think she was born with determination somehow. Also, unrelated, but an animation used showing Undyne's eye bleeding, I find necessary to bring up that monsters don't really have blood. Sans only bleeds because that's likely ketchup, and he guzzles the stuff. Just thought it was worthy to note.

+Nathan Baker - In the original draft for my Gaster video, I actually did have a section that was about Gaster possibly being the father. The video was very scattered at that point and I ended up removing it because I felt those were things that could ultimately be discussed in the comments, and I was already pushing ten minutes. I think it is definitely possible. I agree with you on her being born with determination, or that Undyne somehow achieved it innately. As for Undyne's eye bleeding in the animation, it is purely just an artistic representation and used to add drama to the shot since the resolution of the sprites can be difficult to articulate certain visuals.

+lightsen You're almost right but there's something else. In the Neutral run, if you kill Undyne she starts to deny her death and keep hold with her determination. She goes on and keeps on fighting but you seen start to see that she starts to melt due to her own determination to survive. This was the same effects that happened to the monster's in the True Lab. The only difference is that Alphys was there with them so she managed to keep some form of determination for those monsters making them look how they are. Undyne may have been the only successful monster to be able to sustain her determination due to that eye patch, as for the spear shape shine, I always assumed it was her determination forming a shape of her weapon but that might be a very good theory as well.

Endermender110 thank you! and yes I certainly am thinking of animating something for this game :D Darkness, DARKNESS yeah, though I doubt alphys would experiment on undyne after seeing what happened to the other ones. the player has determination for either killing all enemies in an area (no mercy route) OR for seeing the mouse will maybe get the cheese etc. theres obviously a multitude of routes to get determination, I feel like Undyne is a new route :) there are so many things we can only guess at though

+lightsen Possibly! In some ways it would make sense that she would own up to her greatest defeat by mastering and overcoming it herself. I think that fits her personality very well, so if she was hit with a spear, the greatest way to overcome that "shame" would be to rise above it. Glad you're enjoying my videos! Heck the traumatic experience might have been the tipping point for her gaining determination within her soul, she might hear Asgore's voice in a similar fashion as the player does upon game overs, but only for her it's whatever Asgore told her while bleeding out from her eye. ...But that's all just my own speculation, take it for what you will.
