Hi Besties! I have had quite a difficult journey with getting my health stable again this year as I've worked to safely come off birth control and fight PMDD. This year has been full of small changes that have equated to big results that I am so thankful for. It was highly requested that I share some things I've been doing that have caused a noticeable difference physically, mentally, and emotionally for me. If you struggle with fatigue, bloat, inflammation, moodiness, PCOS, PMDD, or anything similar, I truly hope this helps you realize there is hope to get through it and that you are not alone.

I saw a tip to change the light display setting to white and black when you need to be productive off your phone. Seeing it in those b&w makes you less interested in strolling. Personally I crunched down my social app screen time with setting a limit on the app. Like I have a 1 hr tik tok limit and sometimes go over for 30-45 mins.

Ladies definitely read The Period Repair Manual. It taught me so much! It recommended zinc, magnesium, and myo-inositol for my pcos. Since I started taking them 6 months ago, my cycle is regular for the first time ever. This is after seeing many doctors who only want to put me on birth control.

I second this! I started using myo inositol 2scoops daily (from wholesome story) while taking mg/vitamins and finally had a period within a month of consistent use. Birth control has been the main focus and I never had an official diagnosis of PCOS but would have 2-3periods/ year naturally. I also take it after eating so no negative side effects for me. Good luck!!

Yup I use all of these products plus pro-pre biotic and digestive enzymes with every meal. Women need to demand comprehensive blood work from doctors to see what you are deficient in… it’s more then just taking vitamin D3 although this is important you have to know what’s going on inside and there are some foods you shouldn’t eat because some underlying conditions feed off of certain foods.

"it's not about calories, it's about chemicals!" That hit me! Thanks for this video. I've been dealing with PMDD for 5 years and recently cut out dairy/cheese/milk, sweets and within that 1 week eliminating those items and eating protein (meats/chicken/beef/steak) along with green/ cruciferous veggies. when I did that during my PMDD days I noticed QUITE a difference. No rage, no depression, no very little irritability, and insomnia improved BIG time. Me finding alternative is what I am working on now, so this video was perfect.

Love this video. Just a reminder, sugar itself isn’t inherently bad. Your body needs that carb for functionality. Finding swaps that can lessen added/refined sugar and pair the sugar intake with good ole fiber will be a great way to attack overconsumption of sugar. In America, we over consume sugar & then a lot of people spiral and try to go NO SUGAR without understanding that sugar is not inherently “bad”. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing lovies just everything in moderation! This creator shows great swaps and is promoting balance. Steer away from others who try to force all of nothing.

I've actually started placing my phone on my desk, which is far from my bed, really helps with the nighttime scrolling issue! I was having a similar problem and I'm naturally a night owl, plus I've struggled with insomnia all my life, so I've started shutting off bright overhead lights and turning on softer, orange hued lights at about 8-9PM. I take melatonin every night. And I place my phone on my desk with an alarm when I get into bed. It prevents me from going on it since it's so far, and when the alarm goes off, I'm forced to get out of bed to shut it off. My desk is also near the door to my bathroom, which is my first step in the mornings, so while I'm up, I go to the bathroom. And since I'm already up, I figure hey, might as well get my coffee ready, open up a book or my planner. These little things have truly improved not just my sleep but my mornings as well. Life-changing! Loved this video, especially the info centered around food. I love your outlook on diet!!

For me to avoid bloating: 1) water! No soda for me! Soda any form actually ruins the bladder and you'll be prone to stones/UTIs/yeast 2) flax/chia if you need fibre/protein 3) exercise 4) adding more fruit (also watching what fruit like avoid guava) 5) stress management 6) cotton panties and letting your area breathe! 7) again WATER 💦 😂 8) talking to a dietitian if you're completely lost

A reminder that everything (including everything in our bodies and everything we eat) is made of chemicals, it’s the processing of foods that removes or reduces the useful components of food, and man made chemicals that are more likely to be damaging. But a reminder that some processing is healthy and normal (I.e. grinded grains, healthy oils, etc). And, for example those with IBS, need some of their food more processed. Food and diet is as personal as medicine. The best thing you can do is eat less processed if it’s comfortable for you, and see a nutritionist if possible.

If you can’t have sugar at all (even from fruit) monk fruit is a great substitute! The brand Lakanto is my favorite. You can get it at Whole Foods or order from Amazon. I like the “Classic” version best, which is a swap for white/refined sugar, but there’s also the “Golden” which is a swap for brown sugar. I think there may even be a powdered version too. You have to use a bit more than you would regular sugar but you can build up sweetness by just adding more of the product to your recipe. Or you can buy the version with 2x sweetness. Hope this helps someone with their cravings because it definitely helps me 💕🍰🥺

Def going to try the Carrot Salad 🥕 My suggestions: 3-5 day water or veggie juice fast - Every so often to “reset” my body when I’m feeling sluggish, esp after days I eat junk food 🥴 Intermittent Fasting/probiotics - for gut health. “Bulletproof” Coffee (black coffee w/coconut oil or ghee) - At first it was to cut the acidic taste of plain 23:13 Black coffee, but found there are some good benefits that come with it. **I ran all of this by my nutritionist first! **

Another great “soda” prebiotic brand is Poppi!! The strawberry lemonade is so good. There is around 4 grams added sugar in it though.

Really great information! I am convinced my current health challenges are related to excess inflammation. I love sweets even though I KNOW sugar is one of the worst things to eat. So, two days ago, I changed my diet to include mostly raw foods. I can't wait to try your carrot salad recipe.

If anyone has cholesterol issues go easy on coconut oil. It’s high in saturated fat. Avocado oil or olive oil are better :) Some good tips!
