I just bought a 2019 370Z sport coupe with SRM and it's an interesting feature. I've been driving manual shift cars for almost 50 years and have developed a pretty good heel/toe rev matching technique but I do like using this feature, mainly because it reduces driveline shock.

"If you're unable to rev match without the assist, then you shouldn't drive a high performance car" What a silly statement. I always have this feeling that when people say things like that, they themselves most likely have horrendously jerky heel-toe technique. Everyone becomes Mario Andretti on forums and KZfaq comments

i actually like the synrco rev match because you dont have to worry when to down shift cause when you down shift in this, it automatically syncs the shift time

Wouldn't mind it in my car either, I love matching manually but if I get lazy or really tired it's nice to have it available.

I remember driving my Z one morning not longer after I first bought it and thinking it would be a good idea to take the TC off and drop from 5th into 3rd around 4,000 rpm. The rear tires squealed at 60 mph I was into triple digits before I knew what hit me. Little incidents like that will make you respect the power of the machine you're operating. The Syncro rev system is excellent and makes driving the car an absolute blast.

wow. i live under a rock ,ive never seen that rev match in a manual . ive been blipping the throttle on machines ( bikes quads cars trucks hang gliders space shuttles andshopping carts ) for years , and i think it would be a hard habit to break ,but thats pretty neat . i never cared for the rev match in auto's ,but this prob improves the driving experience for alot of people . very cool

@iceman67340 Yes, it will work on up shifts. You just have to be shifting really slow to notice it.

Syncro Rev match is designed mostly for track purpose or lazy drivers if you want the full feel of your car and the pure excitement of heel and town and rev matching yourself then turn it off. In my 350z I personally like rev matching because gives me a sense that it's a manual gearbox and I can do it myself

@LevelHeadOpinion i know how to heel toe downshift but i do mess up every once in a while. i just test drove one of these and it really is pretty cool... and it never messes up.

@RsBl0gger91 I don't think so.. I thought that it just helped you shift smoother. You still shouldn't rev up to redline with or without synchro rev.

I personally like this even though I can heel-toe, just one less thing to worry about when focused on driving.....

I got one with the SynchroRev mode and on a mountain road the car can literally rape lightning. I used to heal and toe and double declutch before on previous vehicle and the car can make much quicker decisions than I can.

I wouldn't mind having this feature on my car, I always rev match but it's near impossible to get it perfect every time.

I need this feature because I wear size 16 shoe and I can hardly heel-toe because of my bigfeet

So dumb how the G37 doesn't get this feature. This is a luxury feature and it doesn't go on their luxury cars....

@RalliWes18 your argument would make sense if you couldnt turn it of, but with a simple push of a button, you have the fun all for yourselve :) unless you cant revmatch on downshifting this is a really cool feture to show of at an traffic light^^

Indeed cool, Nissan is really on top of there game recently. But does anyone else feel this takes away from the driving experience. I don't drive a manual to say I do. I drive it because I like to have the most control/feel of the car as possible. If I could buy a car with 4 pedals and 2 gearboxs (if that made sense or was possible to do of course) I would.

yea, i agree, when they first relased the 370z, i thought the synchrorev was a standard feature but you don't get it with the base model, you gotta pay like $3000 for the sport package that includes the synchrorev, i don't think it's worth it

@wolf1010 yeah honestly its cool and all, but it would definitely take away from the fun driving experience of having to do it all.. just like the flappy pedals on the GTR, tho it does shift faster, but now its not as fun if everything is done for you.. =/

I have this car with the sincro-rev...there is one big problem...when I am facing a yellow light and I am traveling fairly quick and I need to do an emergency stop...my first reaction is to brake and hold the clutch down to put it on neutral and finaly stop...on that second that I do that the engine goes to red line if I am going over 50mph. is very annoying and I usually turn it off just of pure rage...Is a great track feature but not on daily driving. I hate traffic light cameras....

Cool! One more way to feel less-engaged with the car. Maybe soon they'll eliminate the clutch..and then make it where the car shifts for you! Oh wait..

The synchro rev a neat gimmick sometimes, but for me it's always more fun manually rev match. I just leave it off 99% of the time. I appreciate the effort on Nissan's part though

Great for people that think you have to rev match /facepalm. Good feature but to be honest useless for an every day driver. I love Z's but this feature is more of a selling feature that most people wouldn't think of otherwise nore do most people understand the true concept behind,
