The point of the whole game is to show the actual heist that happened off screen. Since there's not much material to work with from the movie aside from a couple of hints, they had to make shit up to fill in the blanks

There is actually a second Reservoir Dogs game, subtitled "Bloody Days" that came out in 2017, it's a top down shooter on PC.

I remember when Cheat on G4 had an entire strategy section to escape the cops for this, and I thought, it was more detailed than most movie tie-ins, turns out... It really isn't!

For those really wondering why this game was made, remember that generation had some successful crime movie tie-ins with Scarface and The Godfather. I'm sure it was made for a quick buck and it probably exploited devs who respected the franchise and wanted to make something good.

I think The Godfather game that came out the same year was way stronger. At least they had actual actors from the movie in that one.

"This time on games I forgot even existed." It was always bizarre to me that they made a game basically about the one thing the movie went out of its way to NOT show. But I also wouldn't even call it a cash grab, since it's not even Tarantino's most popular movie. Imagine playing Pulp Fiction with a DDR like section with John Travolta? Amazing!

I wasn't expecting an adaptation of Reservoir Dogs to basically be old Hitman, except less "what the fuck" and more "why the fuck".

oooo i own this too. it was easy as far as i remember. and after playing through it, it makes sense storywise, it is not a sequel, it is prequel to the events, showing the events leading to, and after the movie.

Bullet Festival is such an anime name for this Quentin Tarantino title. You know what? Quentin Tarantino movie game tie-in having that makes more sense the more I think about it.

I remember this game… It had so much potential, adding a bit of lore and background details to the film itself… But I couldn’t take it seriously with all the game models… I mean Mr. blue was nothing even close to the guy… They all look like goombas that had gotten slapt in the back of their heads with their eyes popping out… Akin to the fight club video game that was also a disaster- hint hint

Back then I played the game a lot. I loved that they put some of the songs in the game from the film. But in retrospective it wasn't that good. I heard rumors that a kill Bill game was in the making, but got cancelled, but I don't know why. The video was a pleasure to watch as always on your channel. Keep up the good work!

Idk if you'll read this matt but your rank in this game is determined by how cops and civilians you kill which is why you encountered that weird part with the construction worker where it didn't matter if you killed him or not. The only difference it made is if you took him hostage and forced him to do the lock you'd have a better rank....yeah wish it there were UI elements for that huh.

The funny thing about this game is, it's way better than it has any rights to be. It's a video game adaptation of a film, those are supposed to be bad. Now, I never said that the game was good, just that it's not bad.

Bought this game used, the elbows on the character models looked like Woody from Toy Story, it was so annoying I couldn't get through it, returned it after a couple of days

You thought that driving section was bad? By the end of the game there is an incredibly long driving section where you are bleeding out and the screen gets red and then dark. You can't damage the car too much. Also, every cop ever is after you. Thr most frustrating time I had in this game. Spent 3 hours doing it....

Man so glad I didn't fall for this licensed game. I usually fall for them all but for some reason I didn't for this one. Just watching this was painful & usually Matt makes the worst games fun. It's the first time his super power didn't work. Can't believe Eidos stooped this low.

So for a movie thats major part is that its about a Heist gone wrong that you NEVER see... why do the games always try to depict the Heist.

Well, good to see im not the onyl one that remember this disgrace. The onyl interesting part is how you can go trought the levels without killing anyone. But its just that: A "Good Idea". The Michel Madsen part is the most stupid of all (And how they put things from the movie only because they were in the movie....): His especial hability is cuttin the ear out from hostages. lol. PS: I think this game released that year because the DVD Especial Edition of the movie was comming out.
