Should slow down castle to roughly 20 mins, true, but you say that like it's always bad. Sometimes it can be far better to get some early aggression going and slow your opponent down more. Other times you are being rushed and it's better to build defensive units than rush to age up. As far as enemies being able to defend it... That comes down to adaptability. While I can't claim to be great at this myself, you want to be constantly scouting and getting information your opponent to constantly counter his army. You don't plan your entire army composition from the start, you instead determine the next thing to transition into based on your opponents base, army, etc. For example, you might be playing Huns so scouts is a natural start, so your opponent plays a little heavier into spear/scout defense. You then add some archers to fight off scouts. You then have to decide whether to keep producing archers and stay in Feudal or rush castle age and get upgraded crossbows. It's a game of counters, and you shouldn't expect a single BO to work every time.

Super late reply. This basically forces you into extended Feudal fight. Your goal is to pressure with 10 scouts and all those archers. If you manage to kill, or force enemy villagers off of resources, your economy at home is safe, you will get to Castle first. An enemy will have to tower, wall, and/or build his own units to defend. This will slow them down as well. It's a balance; your hoping to do more damage and disruption than if you just put all those resources into economy. This is also pretty good strategy if you are flank player in a team game (Flank = super close to enemy player, so you will have to fight early rather than just boost economy and go Fast Castle).

This would be a better build order if it didn't tell you to build so many units before castle. The idea behind this build is to disrupt the enemy in feudal. This video seems to be making an attempt to end the game in feudal... One way or the other... This is by far my least favorite build order.

If you download Cicero's build order mods, go to Multiplayer and select "Scenario" as game. The rest is pretty usual, or were you talking about something else? :-)

I have this exact same question. Farming rates are lowest (when adjusting the wood villager seconds and build seconds)

5 on sheep with brits is just fine. Really helps to go wood a bit earlier to allow for more flexibility with farm/barracks timing.

@@T90Official Thx man. That's what I thought too and it stinged when you said always 6 on sheeps :D there is always an exception.

Especially britons that are an archer civ. Could have mentioned in the video but its fine :)

I found out that if I put 6 on sheep with the Britons they usually eat it all before i can bring my boar to dinner. Which means idle time... Stop licking your fingers you mongrels and go back to work!
